Facts:
On March 30, 2023, around 2 a.m., 37-year-old Shannon Watkins was shot and killed at a Shell gas station on Flint River Road in the Adair Park neighborhood.
Watkins was standing in line to buy a drink when his holstered firearm was stolen. A struggle followed, during which a second suspect exited a nearby vehicle and opened fire.
Watkins was shot multiple times and later died at the hospital. The suspects fled in a white Chrysler 300.
On March 31, 2023, 18-year-old Chris Ervin Jr. was arrested and charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, robbery by snatching, and multiple additional offenses.
On April 1, 2023, 18-year-old Kenderrion Muse turned himself in. He was charged with murder, aggravated assault, robbery by sudden snatching, and weapons charges.
Surveillance footage and police reports linked both suspects to the incident.
