Level 0: No automation; human controls everything.
Level 1: Basic assistance (e.g., cruise control).
Level 2: Partial automation (e.g., Tesla Autopilot, where the driver must remain engaged).
Level 3: Conditional automation (driver can disengage but must be ready to take over).
Level 4: High automation (fully autonomous in specific conditions or areas, e.g., geofenced robotaxis).
Level 5: The ultimate goal of autonomous driving, where vehicles are as capable as—or surpass—human drivers in every scenario. Significant technological and regulatory barriers remain before Level 5 vehicles become widespread.
Thanks for providing the various levels. That said, I like driving a level car. There is a car parked on my side street that has a blown out suspension and isn’t level :)
