i still think the a/c that dies of a fatal head wound, will have his brain replaced by a bio chip, and brought back to life. he will have digital abilities that will enable him to be all seeing , omnipresent, all knowing of humanities data, omniscient, all controlling omnipotent. he will be worshiped in the ai one world religion as AI God.
I’m deep in AI, taking courses in it and using some cutting edge tools.
AI is a LONG way from making decisions. It’s a LONG way from being sentient.
I can’t even get it to generate some decent automated unit test case code.
It can summarize a meeting pretty well. It can explain how to use a feature of some software. It can generate small code refactors. It can even be leveraged to serve as a phone-based customer service rep.
But as far as anything too complex? Replacing knowledge workers? Forget it. Not for a decade or two, will this thing be worth a damn.
