"the Gov operates at essentially a kindergarten level of incompetence"
That is mighty generous Mr. Menton.

There’s no way that we can allow a marxist, muslim (small letters fully intended) state go nuclear. Fuel up the B2s.

I’m sure they will do. There are only 50,000 regulations that they will have to meet to build it.

Do you think Hochul announced this for solidarity with Iran and the mullahs?

Very generous indeed.
She can’t even get her administration out of the way of progress.
Unless there is a TV camera on the other side.

This is surprising to hear, because liberals are opposed to nuclear power. Yet a good liberal governor is pushing this. What would Greta Thunberg think of this revolting action?

I recall reading a story years ago that New York State okayed the construction of 2 Nuclear Power Plants.
One was completed and the other was near completion, and then the State of New York ordered them shutdown and then permanently disabled.
The State got credit for the created jobs and the Power Companies got stuck with the bill.

.........that Governor Hochul actually thinks her 1 GW nuclear plant proposal is a relevant
solution would imply that the Gov operates at a kindergarten level of incompetence...........
Man, shes a riot.

That’s a democrat for ya. Tasked with changing a flat tire, the spare will only have half the air pressure required, and when she changes it, she’ll only put one lug nut on. AND she’ll try to convince everyone that she did something great.

Hochul is one greasy piece of Dramacrat cr@p - "We'll only abuse this law once to go after our political enemy, Donald Trump".
In a just world, she'd be in front of Ceaușescu's Wall.

Here we see a clerk organizing all the NY regulations that must followed when building a new nuclear plant.

Good luck with that.

I KNEW IT! I absolutely knew it. When I started poking into AI a year or so ago and saw its potential and learned about how power hungry it was, I absolutely knew the "prevailing view" on nuclear was going to change. As soon as "big tech" decided they need nuclear plants to power their data centers, "suddenly" nuclear is not going to be seen as evil anymore. When the guys that control the social-media messaging decide they need nuclear, watch how the messaging evolves and changes.
Last year I kept telling myself "you need to invest in nuclear...you NEED to invest in nuclear". Just missed the big April correction (where had I had the money I'd have jumped in), but I popped in with a little bit in May.

All B.S. and show. The permit process alone will take ten years.

Leftists in general are innumerate and do not understand even the basics of serious large scale power generation, transmission, and distribution. The Green faction of the ruling clique in Germany damn near took them back, if not to the Stone Age, but maybe the 1800s.
Ours are just as bad and will do the same.

Does anyone remember how NY forced the dismantling of a nuclear power plant in the NYC area a few decades ago? The cowardly owners acquiesced to this even though they had won in court, because the power consumers were to bear the cost.
To: Dilbert San Diego
This is surprising to hear, because liberals are opposed to nuclear power.
They won't be. In a couple short years they won't be. Big tech is working on reprogramming their minds as we speak.
