NYC is electing a Muslim mayor tonight. The city is going the way of London. Black residents are now towards the bottom of the totem poll when it comes to city resources. Illegal aliens have taken over their spot when it comes to catering for votes. Criminals of all races out-rank them as well.

This is just the Dem primary. There will be a multi candidate race in the fall with the dem, the currecnt mayor, Eric Adams (ind), Curtis Silwia (R) and a couple of others. NYC does use RCV for thier general election. I cannot find the info on whether they do any other runoff, etc.
I guess that’s one way to keep your voter base.

Rent control will scare away the real capital investments -> improvements needed to make places nice to live. When such a system exists then the investors are playing roulette & they can only win if they are super tight with a corrupt political system.
