Direct in person meeting with POTUS is a distinct privilege. I would say give Iran the public phone number to the WhiteHouse switchboard and let anyone in the regime that would like to relay a message to POTUS have the opportunity to do so.

Oh and maybe just maybe allow the caller to speak with a switchboard supervisor if they would like to have their message marked “Urgent”.

China is reexamining its investments in Iran following the escalation .

Two senior Chinese scholars, Niu Xinchun and Zou Zhiqiang, have warned that the escalation of Israeli attacks on Iranian infrastructure is endangering China’s economic interests in the country. According to them, the damage to civilian sites such as ports, energy facilities and industrial sites creates an immediate need to evacuate civilians and reassess the course of economic cooperation.

However, China’s direct investment in Iran amounted to only $322 million, with the cumulative investment by the end of 2023 standing at only about $3.92 billion, a small amount relative to the scope of the agreements between the countries.

In conclusion, they emphasized that “only an agreement between Iran and the US can lead to the lifting of sanctions, otherwise, cooperation will continue to diminish. China will have to reconsider which projects to continue, which to preserve and which to abandon.”

So it would appear that Iran wants the world to believe that Trump is “begging” them to negotiate ???? As opposed to Iran wanting an invitation to the White House?

While Trump may want to get credit for “peace negotiations”. I don’t believe optics of legitimizing Iranian regime by giving them a “seat at the table” is the right message. I stand by my previous recommendation that the Iranian regime should not be granted the privilege of speaking with ANY US official above the rank of “switchboard operator”

By “talk” —. Do they mean refusing to agree to end the war and end their pursuit of nuke weapons ?????

So it seems to me that the Iran regime wants the world to believe that they only wanted nukes to make electricity and not bombs.

To which the world responded with laughter since clearly that has never been nor ever will be the intent of the “current” regime.

Iranian Foreign Minister: As long as the aggression and invasion do not stop, there is no meaning to talk about dialogue with America

The IRNA news agency quotes Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi as saying: “We have made it clear unequivocally that there is no room for dialogue until the aggression stops, and we have no dialogue with America as a partner in this crime.”

According to the report, since the start of the war, the Iranian Foreign Ministry has held frequent contacts with foreign ministers of about 30 countries. The Iranian president has also spoken with several heads of state. “I spoke with the UN Secretary-General and requested an emergency meeting of the Security Council and sent him a letter - as a result, the meeting took place last week. And this week, at the request of China, Russia, Pakistan and Algeria, a group of Security Council members will convene,” Araqchi said.

He said that an emergency meeting or discussion on the issue of the attack on Iran will be held on Saturday at the meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (in Turkey).

“To those senior officials in various countries who, for good reasons, call for a return to diplomacy, I say – we were already in the midst of talks. Where exactly do you suggest we return to?” Araqchi added.
