Aren’t people just ordering the abortion pills online? I do hope closures of brick and mortar clinics is actually saving lives.

Follow the money.
I’ve worked in many single issue and multi-issue movements.
The ideology is always there to justify the action.
But “Follow the money” is the best measure of sustaining a movement.
It turns out most ideologues are only ideologues when there is money in it.

More good news:
Planned Parenthood hasn’t done any abortions in Texas for about 3 years
I got this statement from the website of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, Houston Texas (The other Planned Parenthood organizations in Texas have similar statements):
“While we can’t provide abortion in Texas or Louisiana, blah blah blah............”
This is due the provisions of Texas law under:
TITLE 2. HEALTH
SUBTITLE H. PUBLIC HEALTH PROVISIONS
CHAPTER 170A. PERFORMANCE OF ABORTION

I hope this is good news, but my thought is that it just reflects the shift to using cheaper, "easier" alternatives like abortion pills dispensed without the fuss of needing an abortion facility in every city.
Still, if the clinics shut down, and then we can outlaw or sue to oblivion the abortion pill manufacturer(s), that could have a deep impact.

I will speculate that many of the clinic closures are based on cost savings.
About 60% of USA abortions are now the result of medication.

And yet the number of abortions performed is increasing. Make that make sense.

Abortion clinics had shops nationwide but the feds won’t allow Hit Men Stores wonder what the difference is.
