Forgot what strep feels like. I had a cold about ten years ago. Lasted five days. No covid shots, Do take 500 mg vitamin C every day. I weigh 116, larger people should take more. My friend who weighs over 300 lbs takes 6,000 mg per day.
Prevention is easy.
I’m still quaking over the “Tripledemic”.
They’re dying for everyone to mask up again. How I despised that period. I’m sure most of us did. I will NEVER understand how ppl walked around with those things on voluntarily.
Of course I had to fly/shop etc., so I put a very flimsy cloth one on when officially required.
But only had it over my nose when absolutely necessary (such as boarding a plane ‘cause the attendant would single me out.)
I had friends wearing N95’s on all day when they didn’t even have to!...insanity!

I had what I guess would now be considered “regular old COVID” a couple of years ago, and I definitely experienced “razor blade throat” with that one. One of the worst sore throats I’ve ever had. But, it only lasted 3 or 4 days, and I was and shall always remain non-vaxxed.
Already had razor blade throat with Omni variant. Could not swallow a pill without food. Still pure blood however.
Or maybe you had the flu or a cold or strep.
