BRANDON, Fla. — A woman involved in a road rage shooting in Brandon was arrested on Thursday afternoon.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said deputies arrived at South Hilltop Road and West Brandon Boulevard around 2:19 p.m. when they were notified about the shooting.
Deputies found 21-year-old Aiden Richards, who had been shot, as well as the other party involved.
According to an investigation, detectives said both parties had stopped at a red light and "engaged in an altercation," which led to Richards firing a gun at the other vehicle multiple times.
The other driver then fired a gun back at Richards and struck her in the lower body, leaving her with non-life-threatening injuries. She was taken to a local hospital.
Richards is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, attempted murder in the second-degree firearm - discharge and shooting at, within or into a vehicle.
Deputies did not state if the other driver was facing any charges for striking Richards. This is still an ongoing investigation.

Anger management is essential personal security. Her life turned into a nightmare. Fortunately she did not murder the other person.
She requires the right caliber of shooter in order to get her mind right!
FWIW, the crime scene is on the main drag in Brandon, state rt. 60, about one block from the oriental food store where I get most of my Japanese cuisine-necessary items, albeit a little over a half hour from my home. A shooting taking place there in the middle of the day is not something to treat lightly.
I do believe even Lazamataz has standards. Low they may be, but standards nonetheless.

I don’t know about Laz, but I would recommend administrative punishment.

What are the odds that two random women would collide at an intersection and both come out shooting? Pretty remote. I bet these two women knew each other and had a simmering beef. Maybe it’s family, maybe money, maybe a man, maybe another woman. There’s more to this dark story than meets the eye. On the bright side, it is good that women are exercising their 2A rights.
