I’m not a lawyer.
I have military, IT and law enforcement experience. I have an E.E. and MBA education. I’m retired now and like the news and writing because it keeps me mentally active and helps me formulate my own ideas on issues (research, share ideas and organize thoughts).
That said, IMHO as a layperson on this topic:
—Big pharma uses the federal law to shield themselves from litigation and they try hard to get everything under the sun added to the list of where the federal government assumes culpability.
—They try hard to have every vaccine imaginable made mandatory somehow: https://www.cnn.com/2011/09/15/opinion/krumholz-beckel-perry-pharmaceutical/index.html (In Texas, before the MSM went 100% on board with Covid because it was a Democrat initiative and used against Trump in his first term).
This is a classic case of where money buys you political influence and almost all of pharma has the same interests (are pulling in the same direction).
Our government is extremely responsive to the interests of those with money (I’m not a Bernie Sanders supporter, but when he talks about oligarchs there is some truth to that)
Money buys lobbyists, pays for political campaigns, PACs, the party itself. Money promises the family members of prominent politicians consulting jobs for $50,000 a month for which they have no education, experience nor even show up. It hires prominent political family members to the board of directors in corporations or gives them better than what your wildest fantastical dream can imagine possible when doing foreign business transactions (China used to do that a lot for some family members of US politicians that do business there). Money pays millions for a 45 minute speech (speaking fees), can donate millions to a foundation or charity, it can even buy the scribble called art painted by some politicians relative. Finally, money pays for endless legal litigation.
