Politicians typically don’t mind campaign documentaries, because a race is a road show and the camera is a practice run for the performance part of the gig. Having a lens on what postelection governance looks like, however, is a rarity in nonfiction, which makes “Prime Minister” something of a unicorn: an intimate view inside the consequential, galvanizing five-year administration of New Zealand’s progressive leader Jacinda Ardern, who also became a first-time mother simultaneous to taking her country’s highest seat of power.

I hope Freepers of all people haven't forgotten ?
She said do not look at information elsewhere about Covid. We will be your only source. 😂😂
Is she the one who could eat corn through a chain link fence?
She was a tyrant.
The only stirring thing about New Zealand is the scenery ...
A Stalinoid witch, a darling of the fascist left!
She is a Marxist tyrant who seemed to take absolute glee from placing the heavy boot of government upon the necks of New Zealanders. Having stated this, in fairness, New Zealanders really didn’t seem to mind the brutal Covid authoritarianism.
She stripped kiwis of their firearms with a royal edict.
Pure propaganda. No wonder the LA Times loves it.
FYI
New Zealand was permanently destroyed by her. It will never recover.
LA Times forgot to mention that every one involved in making the movie voted for Jacinda Ardern.
What’s so stirring about her bio? In New Zealand politics, candidates vie to represent districts, but then so the representation mirrors the overall vote, the parties get to add “list” candidates to their representation. These are unelected candidates. If a party is entitled to a certain X number of extra seats, the first X people on the list get appointed. She got put absurdly high on the list for no known reason, being chosen ahead of even some incumbents. She was then quickly chosen to be a deputy leader (think VP) when the party leader was forced to resign, and then became leader when the new leader was forced to resign.
She literally was simply put into office by the powers that be. She was elected in 2020 during highly irregular elections focused solely on covid safety and then forced to resign due to becoming the most hated person in New Zealand, ahead of her party getting absolutely destroyed in the 2023 election.
She’s not promoting the new memoir in New Zealand because she is still very unpopular there, two years after leaving office.
Yikes i wasn’t aware of this one . That is a very rarely used procedure.
Shameless tool of Globalism, she turned her nation into an experimental sheep pen, guarded by wolves.
,,, which New Zealanders? What's their names?
,,, thanks T. Best wishes from winterland.
