As a retired federal employee myself I fully agree with you.

“served” is not the correct word ...

I don’t remember complaining about my colleagues. I do remember setting an example of good character that others noticed and usually were glad to rise up to.

That’s fantastic.

Too bad you get thrown in with the bad apples.

One comment from a DOGE guy was how many federal employees were eager to help them and felt frustrated.

This is the fault of the lazy Congress (R or D) that does zero oversight.

In addition, those who retire before they're old enough to collect Social Security can receive a special retirement supplement between the ages of 57 and 62. It's a portion of what they'll be eligible to receive at 62, meant to be a financial bridge for those five years.

Why?

I’d like to sit her and her promoters down, pass out the crying towels, before recounting fifty years of employment in the private sector.

I don’t think Americans would consider a government employee answering phones and licking stamps as someone who “served her country”.

She will not lose one damn thing, she is grandfathered in, in every respective benefit she currently is guaranteed.

FWIW, she's not experiencing anything that I, or my fellow employees, suffered when our plant closed down at the end of 2006. The same goes for every other auto industry employee who may have lost their jobs due to cut backs and layoffs.........

My experience in dealing with the govt. worker is this: If it is a 3 hour job, it takes 3 days. If it is a 3 day job, it takes 3 weeks. If it is a 3 week job, it takes 3 months. If it a 3 month job, count on it taking a year and a half.

:The negotiations with a govt. employee never ends. One starts a point A. Everything goes fine until one realizes that it is back to point A.

It's like mud wrestling a pig. Your all dirty before you realize the pig is enjoying it.

They ARE NOT public servants .
They chose to work for the government .
They SHOULD NEVER have gotten special treatment .

Who said “all”?

By using strawman arguments (a logical fallacy), you’re the one doing the alienating, with all due respect.

“We proudly and diligently served the American taxpayer.”

No you didn’t.
It was a job, for which you were paid.

Unless you were in uniform the whole time, you had a phooking cush job. Overpaid, underworked, benes out the wahzoo, every possible holiday off, or mega overtime.

Don’t virtue signal BoomerCon, lots of folks are tired of it.
And most don’t give a shiiite.

What BS. Govt employees receive high wages, many holidays and golden retirements while providing an extremely low amount of service.

"Do not betray the public servants who gave decades of their lives to this country," she wrote in the petition.

Did she do something actually beneficial for the Country, or was it just a less than worthless job in the bureaucracy?

It seems no one else read the linked article.

"As part of the downsizing, the Social Security Administration offered her a $20,000 voluntary separation incentive to retire at age 53. Her last day was April 19, just three weeks shy of her 35-year mark."

That supplement would disappear under the House-passed bill. Federal employees who are younger than 57 on Jan. 1, 2028 would be out of luck."

Apparently she gets an extra 20k for the voluntary separation but no the supplement that someone who reaches 57 gets, since she is only 53.

I have only very rarely been mistreated by either a state or federal employee. My experience with them has been very positive; and, they tried to be helpful most every time. When I was young I screwed my federal taxes very badly. Not only did the IRS agent help me correct the form, she also showed me the correct way to reconcile my checkbook with the bank.

County employees are generally the same; but, city employees have always been at "maximum nasty".

Why do these pathetic parasites call themselves “public servants”????? Usually, they despise the public as lower than them and mainly bothersome.

I am glad this LIB nitwit & many decades long parasite will hit the streets. Too bad this overpaid and underworked degenerate gets a pension. Is there any way to chop that?
