"In a controversial new book on the Nixon resignation, Silent Coup: The Removal of a President, the authors said that White House aide John Dean was responsible for the cover-up of the 1973 Watergate break-in, that General Alexander Haig was attempting to unseat President Nixon, and that General Haig was also "Deep Throat." The authors say that their book has been rejected by some critics because it "cuts too close to the bone of what's been accepted for 20 years." Mr. Colodny is a former Maryland politician and Mr. Gettlin was a reporter for Newhouse Newspaper in Washington."

Brian Lamb doing a very good interview with the two authors of Silent Coup.

I interviewed with Gettlin for a writer job at DOI, about 15 years ago.

Even though we had both published with St. Martin’s Press, and I had read the book AND somehow remembered his coauthor’s name after something like 20 years, I didn’t get the job.

Remember, going into the interview I had no idea of the interviewers name, so it’s not possible I faked that knowledge.

How did I not score that gig?!

I thought since his death, Deep Throat outed himself. Deputy Director of the FBI that supposedly was ticked that Nixon didn’t make him Director after Hoover.

The FBI has been corrupt since the beginning.

When the real story of Watergate is told - a successful Crossfire Hurricane - people will think differently about a lot of things.

Just like Strzok and Ohr went after Trump over office politics.

Republican Presidents are NEVER accepted as legitimate rulers by the urban democrats and elite. True since Lincoln.

Al Haig and Bob Woodward had a prior history. Woodward briefed Haig at the WH according to reliable sources, and then they both lied about their relationship. When Mark Felt went senile they named him as DT, but Felt had no way to have first hand knowledge what was happening inside the WH. Haig certainly did. IMHO, the sabotaged the Nixon presidency to enable G. H. W. Bush to climb the ladder to become VPOTUS and then POTUS.

Mark Felt (Deep Throat was pissed that Nixon appointed L. Patrick Gray instead. He recruited Woodward and Bernstein to carry out his vendetta against Nixon. Woodward and Bernstein were hardly ‘investigative journalists’. They were merely stenographers for Felt. Felt was illegally leaking information about an active investigation to them.

W & B were second rate reporters.

Bradley admonished them a lot for shoddy work.

“I thought since his death, Deep Throat outed himself.”

Mark Felt.

At the time when Colodny and Getlin were writing the book his role was still unknown to anyone outside of Woodward and Bernstein.

Al Haig is who they suspected since he and Woodward had a relationship going back to when Lt Robert Woodward was the CNO liason to the Nixon White House.

Do you know of Phil Stanford’s book “White House Call Girl”?

Heidi Riken was Mo Biner Dean’s roommate. She was also running the call girl operation out of a desk in the DNC Watergate HQ. The call girl ring is why John Dean wanted to bug the place.

Colodny and Getlin knew about this, but just knew the surface details. Heidi had died in a fall in 1978 so she couldn’t be interviewed. But after Silent Coup was out Heidi’s little sister discovered Heidi’s phone book in a box of her effects and gave it to Phil Stanford, who was able to fill in some very interesting details. It’s essentially evidence that the CIA was in the domestic US honey trap business. Like what we imagine that Epstein was doing on his island.

And it was just a strange coincidence that Niel Bush and John Hinkley, JR where close friends.

Researcher Jim Bass details how Watergate was a coup, allegedly facilititated by The Agency because its turf was being infringed upon.

https://www.tiktok.com/@tuckercarlson/video/7401242716287274271

Hillary Rodham was dispatched to transmit a 4 scholar study concluding that Presidents had never been held liable for unauthorized actions by their subordinates.

But she slow-walked or failed to deliver the study before Nixon’s resignation.

She was fired from the Senate Watergate Committee, with prejudice.

The scholars were so proud of their work they independenyly published it 4 months later.

“Researcher Jim Bass details how Watergate was a coup”

Did you mean Geoff Shepard?

What ultimately pushed Nixon to resign was a group of GOP Senators coming to him and saying that he was going to be impeached if he didn’t resign. Nixon didn’t have the option of toughing it out after that.

He’s worse than that. The comparison insults the honor of slimey snakes.
