I saw a thread on this a few days back, but wasn't in a position to post to it!

When I saw this picture posted on the thread, I thought "Yup. That will bring traffic to a standstill!
My wife and I were driving on some winding hills up in Vermont some years ago, no destination, just cruising around. They are a bunch of Lefties up there, but it is a beautiful state.

It was a sunny day, sun getting lower in the sky, and we come around a bend in the road that curved around a fenced in hill. We both looked up and this is what we saw:

We we both taken aback, and of course I had to pull over and back up...did we just see that?

I have always used the saying "When you hear hooves in America, you think horses, not zebras."

I remember thinking: Well, that blows that all to Hell!

It turns out the zebra had been hiding in plain sight at a local Footlocker store.

I’ve always heard Zebras have a nasty bite and a ferocious rear kick. So, if you get anywhere near them, best to watch both fore and aft at once. A tranquilizing dart was probably used to snare him up.

Potential owners of these exotic pets should have to pass a few tests to show that they have sufficient fencing and a good basic knowledge of that species. That owner should not get this Zebra right back, because “Ed’ will just escape again.
Ed has not accepted his new home. Maybe he misses the hub-bub of New York or Toledo, Ohio.
