Yes indeed! Sinner was serving for the match and up 40 - 0... and Alcaraz came back and won that game and forced a fifth set! Unbelievable!

I miss the days when there were so many great players, with different personalities that you would root for and against: Borg, Connors, McEnroe, etc.

That’s what’s missing from sports today, today’s athletes are so robotic, no personality.

Never mind. Even Wimbledon has tie break since 2022.

Whatever. Alcaraz really turned it on in the tie breaker. Congratulations to him! And to Sinner too - he played a heckuva match.

LOL! There'll never be another Johnny Mac! (or Ilie Nastase... and in Nastase's case that's a good thing!)

What a great match! I bet on Sinner before the tourney started. But it wasn’t a lot. The quality of enjoying this match was worth it

I vividly recall a “past his prime” Jimmy Conners in 1991 Open playing the quarter or semis.

It was a 5-set match and he was beyond exhausted.

At one point, he turned to the camera and said, “This is what they pay to see”.
He won the match against Aaron Krickstein (?)

I saw a Becker- Lendel 5 set final. My Fad got great walk up tickets after a Mets game.
