President Trump's second term has been a payday for the powerful, exposing a disconnect in his promise to deliver for "the forgotten man" of America's working class.
Why it matters: The populist paradox at the heart of MAGA — a movement fueled by economic grievance and championed by a New York billionaire — has never been more pronounced, Axios' Tal Axelrod and Zachary Basu report.
⚡ Trump's blue-collar base remains fiercely loyal, energized by his hardline stances on immigration, trade and culture — and patient that his economic "Golden Age" will materialize.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
But the general theme is Trump voters are staying loyal.
The OBBB debate is going to test that to the max. Why is he putting the party and us through that tumultuous situation?
My payoff came on November 5th.
Screw the complaining.
They’re finding it hard to explain (poll numbers)
Although, it’s not important this is a second term. The obsession with ratings is odd./
Mike “Axios Scumbag” Allen weighs in.
What a lying POS.
You are a true malcontent.
Rand is the one teaming with globalists to undermine Trump's agenda on tariffs.
He and others buy the CBO's nonsense that tax cuts cause deficits.
When Swamp Republican Senators vote the same way as Swamp House Democrats, the problem isn’t with Swamp infiltrator Trump...
I am a racist. I know this because I take notice of the (anecdotal) fact that when Trump is President, I see more black men who are working. Maybe it’s confirmation bias, but I noticed it between 2016 and 2020. I believe that one way we will see less crime is when black men are working. See? I’m a racist.
It's been more than four months since President Trump took office! What's the holdup?

“Racist”. A term invented by the same people who gave us the false metaphor “melting pot”.
Racism= racial realism.
Reading this makes you uncomfortable, doesn’t it.
Some of the biggest “racists” are black people.
Total BS.
The Democrats, RINO’s and their media minions would like nothing more than to frustrate the Trump base to the point that they throw up their hands and say “what’s the use?”
Just in time for the midterms.
Most voters, side with the lesser of 2 evils. Trump is the lesser of the evils. The Dems can’t come close. Their emphasis on Obrego Garcia and immigration is their big mistake.
But they are in a bind. Tariffs is the issue where the Democrats could cut into Trump’s support. But Trump has taken the anti-capitalist position on tariffs. The Democrats have to either take the pro-capitalist position...when they can’t do...or take an even more extreme position than Trump.
It will be interesting to see the primaries of both parties.
Will any logical ideologue emerge? Will any charismatic personality emerge to front for an idea? Or are we stuck with a Congress that essentially is short on ideas and competence?
If they think Trump’s only base is blue collar they are fools. I and most of my friends who support Trump are white collar!
It’s a lame trope the left loves to use: “uneducated, trailer park residents”.
It reveals the disgusting snobs in the (self-described) ‘Party of the People’.
Trump appeals to a broad spectrum of Americans from every social, economic and political group, except yellow dog democrats.
I voted for liberal tears and mass deportations. I’m not disappointed.
It's like Christmas everyday for me with President Trump back in the White House.
I'm a racist too. I spent over 10 years researching the black Civil War Regiment, the 55th Massachusetts, tracked down their descendants and worked to get one of them the Medal of Honor, but I'm a racist, according to my youngest son because yesterday I bad-mouthed Moochie Obama for releasing a public statement on Coco Goffe's tennis win yesterday. Moochie's never played a game of tennis in her life, or been interested in tennis, or the accomplishments of white female sport champions. She had to get her name in the news one way or another.
“...............when Trump is President, I see more black men who are working. “
Then I’m a racist too.
