Pope Leo XIV urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to take a meaningful step in favor of peace during a phone call Wednesday that focused on the ongoing war in Ukraine and the worsening humanitarian situation.
The conversation, described by the Vatican as “frank and focused on the urgency of dialogue,” saw the Pope appeal directly for a gesture from Moscow that could help reduce tensions and create the conditions for further diplomatic engagement.
According to Matteo Bruni, director of the Holy See Press Office, the Pontiff underlined the “importance of dialogue to create positive contacts between the parties and seek solutions to the conflict” during the call with the Russian leader.

To be fair, so does the excessive spam and the “Tell your Putin to…” stuff. So does being called a Russian, a Communist, a Putin Puffer, a Bolshevik, etc. just because we opposed billions upon billions of unaudited dollars flowing to an obvious little grifter every time he demanded it.

Several people of us did try this in the earlier days, only to be set upon with snarling Ukrainians hurling vicious insults and attacks on people’s characters and patriotism.
I’m personally quite honest about the fact that I mock them now. They haven’t earned any other response.
Then you really should examine your life. Humor is one thing. Living for the purpose of mocking others is a waste, and it is not a Christian value.
