“The bill has 1.6 trillion in cuts. It’s going to drive economic growth for years.”
Any spending bill that cuts 1.6 units but adds 15 units is not going to stimulate anything except inflation.
I can see why Musk would likewise be angry. He risked a lot of his business interests, his personal wealth, his reputation and he did a lot of hard work to cut at least $200 billion in waste and fraud only to turn around and find nearly none of it became realized in law. He must feel disillusioned, too.
POTUS Trump says, “Hey Elon, I need you to throw an autistic temper tantrum regarding the Big Beautiful Bill. We need to find out who the hypocrites are.”
Elon smiles and says, “That’s certainly a win win.”
Both billionaires laugh.
I agree. Also, when it is titled BBB, it is very insulting. It certainly IS big, but HARDLY beautiful.
Disillusioned with Government? Welcome to the club!
Kilmeade is a worm. I don’t care what’s actually in the article. He’s just a worm.
Brian Kilmeade is a liar.
I hope this is just inside the Beltway gossip that exaggerates the facts (although Trump has been known to be petty and unable to take criticism at times). Musk needs to name names, not just be irate at the “GOP”. That gives individual Republicans cover. Which GOP members prevented meaningful spending cuts? Who said they would not vote for a bill that cut spending by 10% across the board? That is the only way we are going to get spending cuts. When individual Republicans cannot hide their pro-spending votes.
BBB refers to getting ALL the desired tax cut measures now in one “do or die” bill.
Due to the nature of the rare legislative maneuver being used, Senatorial privilege can’t (thank heavens) be used by opponents of the bill to kill it.
Plus, a bare majority vote will be sufficient to pass it and get it in front of Prexy to sign.
After this bill is passed into law, donkey party senators will once again be free to exercise their full privileges to gum up the works. But Trump plans to cross that bridge only when he comes to it.
Faux News is a clown show and it has no bigger clown than Kilmeade.
It’s the TMZ of uniparty politics.
They focus on personalities not substance.
Once they had ONE real reporter whose name was Catherine Herridge, all substance NO fluff.
And supposedly she left on her terms which I can’t say for sure, but she was clearly TOO much substance for Faux News just as she was way too much substance of CBS News.
Brian needs to retire and confine himself to writing children’s books or more likely having children’s books ghost written using his name.
I think Trump made a tactical error one this one. His tax bill would have sailed through the process. The spending bill is a mess.
And his DOGE savings are good…but he over promised and will never deliver on that.
Trump should be furious, but not at Elon. He should be furious with the RINOs in the House and Senate.
“Don’t serve me a S#!7 sandwich and tell me it’s s chocolate éclair!”.................
What’s really going on:

Trump comes out looking great; Elon, not so much.
Bannon interviewed this reporter last night.
Larry Kudlow would definitely take the opportunity to have speaks with you on that point. That assertion.
Are you aware of Kudlow’s arguments in favor of front loading all desired economy-sparking tax cuts in one BBB?
Agreed. It could have been called a BBB if it was ONLY about extending the tax cuts, personal and business—and nothing more.
I agree with you and Musk.
What bill is she trashing? I read it wasn’t the BBB she voted on with out reading, it was a different one.
“”Co-host Ainsley Earhardt, in response, suggested the fences may not be so easy to mend.
I was shocked to hear him say that,” she said.””
OK - I’ve read the article more than once and is no one going to ask - WHAT EXACTLY DID MUSK SAY?
Every President can be wrong, at any given time or on any given issue. WE all surmise that he watered DOWN the Big Beaituful Bill so THAT IT WOULD PASS. If it was too austere, or too drastic of a cut, the other side that screams would cry FOUL. He is caught between a rock and a hard spot.
“That is the only way we are going to get spending cuts.”
Spending cuts are an unachievable fantasy in the absence of regular order.
You’re aware, are you not, that regular order has been absent, gonzo, since basically 9/11/01?
