That’s ancient history. Amazon Prime now has commercials. Not a lot, but they were added about a year ago. First set of ads is about 2-3 minutes before the show begins. Then there’s another set about halfway through, also about 2-3 minutes.
In one of PDJT’s post-election speeches, he made mention of this issue in passing, IIRC. Something like we’ll be seeing white people in commercials again.
IMHO, ads with things like mixed-race aren’t meant to encourage interracial marriages and such. They’re meant to subliminally tell the millennial customers that their products are part of their generation’s new cool. The marketers are trying to brand their products with generational loyalty among the generation that’s old enough to be making money, yet young enough to be around for decades.

Actually, now, they are so firm in their convictions of victory that they don’t really bother anymore with the “below the conscious threshold” anymore.
It’s a virtue signal. The problem was that liberals wanted to show white women with black men but black women objected. Having a white man with a black woman makes the white man the source of the virtue which the liberals don’t want. So it’s a conundrum.
It was explained to me that advertisers demand diversity in their ads. If only two people are in the ad, one has to be diverse. It is purely stupid.
This actually precedes the woke bit.
If a business advertises exclusively with white people they can find themselves in federal court facing discrimination charges.
Hence the mix wherever possible.
Easy solution: Turn off your TV. I did that nearly 25 years ago and never turned it back on. I haven’t missed it a bit.
Questions develop in my gray matter that ask: Why doesn’t my wife look like the wives on the commercials, or why doesn’t my family look like the commercial families?

If I made commercials for TV I would have them reflect the local demographics. I WOULD BE FIRED.

Well, they switched from airing attractive women in commercials to fat woke girls reflecting demographic trends.
Since they have no creativity on the left, evey White man in tv commercials will be a moron those loses board games to 10 year old little girls NEVER little boys- and his name will be Hal.
You have to be racist (on Madison Ave.) to make these ads in the first place. Personally, I think these ads tick off the racists more than the general public, who just simply finds them odd. Madison Ave. may just beat themselves up because it’s not working.
