Girls given antibiotics during their first year of life, especially in the first three months, are more likely to enter puberty at an earlier age, according to research. The likelihood of early puberty was also higher among those exposed to a greater variety of antibiotic classes. The findings highlight the importance of using these medicines in infants appropriately and how early-life drug exposure could shape future health outcomes.
Early puberty, also known as central precocious puberty (CPP), is a condition characterized by the early onset of secondary sexual development in children. In girls this means before age 8 and, in boys, before age 9. Early puberty mostly affects girls and often has no obvious cause, while it is less common in boys.
In this study, researchers analyzed data on the antibiotic intake of 322,731 children, aged 0–12 months, in South Korea. They followed these children until the girls turned 9 years old and the boys were 10, and found that girls who were prescribed antibiotics before 3 months of age were 33% more likely to start puberty early. The risk was 40% higher in girls who received antibiotics before 14 days of age, and overall, the earlier the antibiotic exposure, the greater the risk of early puberty. Additionally, girls who used five or more classes of antibiotics had a 22% increased risk of early puberty compared to those who used two or fewer classes. No association was found between antibiotic intake and early puberty in boys.
Dr. Choe added, "In our earlier research, we found that exclusive breastfeeding was associated with a lower risk of central precocious puberty (CPP), supporting the idea that early-life factors affecting the gut microbiome or endocrine-metabolic pathways may influence pubertal development."

Boys had no issues with puberty.
I don’t think antibiotics touch viral infections ... only bacterial ...
When the human body is attacked by disease, poison, most anything uncomfortable the normal reaction is for the body to improve its defenses.
This happens in 99% of humans. There may be 1% of humans who for some reason cannot build its defense.
But when the 99% of us take antibiotics or anything that prevents the buildup of defenses for the future the body loses in the long term.
By the 99% doing what is good for the 1% the 99% is harmed.
This goes beyond contagious disease. Males tend to be rowdy. when young They are fed drugs to control their behavior. They never have to learn how to control it and cannot control it when they are older and the effect of the medicine no longer has its impact.
Stop with the antibiotics.
I admit to still being confused on how to treat either one.
You are very correct, however, doctors prescribe antibiotics because parents demand something to help, and, at most, it can only help with secondary infections.
"before age 8"
Which came first... The chicken or the antibiotics.
So it’s not the chicken... It’s the antibiotics... Sure... They can go with that... I still think it’s the chicken.
Yeah, I am more inclined to believe it’s because of all the hormones they put in the food.
