Every policy position they promote is designed to either nudge us or shove us in the direction of some kind of Marxist utopia.

One reason "liberals" have suddenly grown fond of the very illiberal act of censorship is that despite a near monopoly of academia and the legacy press their language games have not given them the desired results. Censorship is doubling down on that control, but in fact it's an act of desperation. It isn't that they're losing, they've lost to the new media they don't understand.

Nor is it the case that Democrat opinion shapers have lost the ability to "talk to men". They just won't. The glaring difference between Trump's free-form Rogan podcast and the frantic Democrat efforts to craft one of their own at their site, with their people at the delay switch, their editing, their complete control of the message; that was the paralysis of people who were off their turf and knew it. Vocabulary had nothing to do with it.

Focus group leaders who push everyday people to 'saying what democrats want to hear' isn't helping either. That said it's kinda fun to watch white liberal elites work at lying and manipulating better - as if that's the answer.
