TWO Russian airfields housing Putin's nuke bombers have reportedly been blitzed in an extraordinary drone strike - wiping out at least 40 aircraft.
A Ukrainian security official told Reuters that the SBU conducted a large drone attack on Tu-95 and Tu-22 strategic bombers - which Russia uses to fire long-range missiles at Ukraine.
The source did not specify where the drone attack took place, but Ukrainian media said that Olenya airbase - home to Russia’s Tu-95 strategic bombers - had been targeted.
The second base under fire is understood to be the Belaya nuclear airbase in eastern Siberia’s Irkutsk region - some 2,900 miles from Ukraine.
Russia's governor of the Murmansk region confirmed that the drone strike had taken place.
Unverified footage showed smoked billowing from mad Vlad's bases as Russian troops and civilians watched on in horror.
Ukraine’s Pravda Gerashchenko Telegram channel said: “A special operation 'Web' is being conducted to demilitarise Russia.
“The [SBU] report the destruction of Russian bomber aircraft behind enemy lines."
They added: “In particular, the destruction of more than 40 aircraft, including A-50, Tu-95 and Tu-22M3.”
Local residents reported hearing explosions as swathes of Ukrainian UAVs struck Putin's bases.

Putin should have accepted President Trump’s Easter ceasefire deal.
They are both evil, too bad you can’t see that. I guess in your book Nazi’s are good guys. This conflict was started by the Biden Administration, which is also evil. Perhaps you missed that as well. Anyone supporting either side of this conflict is evil, because people are needlessly being killed..
With the destruction of a thousand years' dedicated hand labor with irreplaceable materials they will claim the resulting population reduction will be "good for the environment."
STFU... shit stirring assclown - you and your double-digit IQ rants.
“Piece and security” huh.
Interesting...I thought the Backfires (T160) were exclusively at Engles AFB and the manufacturing air base.

;^)
The Tu-160 Blackjack bombers are dispersed in about six locations to avoid losing them all at once.
Hell, there are only like 30 of them.....10 or so have been cannabilized to support the other 20, and I think they have lost a half dozen or more since the war started.
Imagine if we had a drone attack from, say, Venezuela at Whiteman AFB and 10-20 B2s got wrecked!?
I thought all T160s were at Engles but I guess they "flushed" them to more remote bases.
How long are the potato lines in Tatarstan today? Did you get your ration?
This is a provocation designed to elicit a Russian response.
IF the UKEs damaged/sunk an SSBN, those new BOREI class SSBNs are quiet, rare, hard/long to build, and expensive.
I do know why Matt Bracken doesn't waste his time on FR any more.
This is why I do not support this conflict from any angle. In addition, it was perhaps the single most wrong-headed geopolitical blunder to ever take place. On top of that, both are as corrupt & evil as can be.
Both countries are not interested in peace negotiations, which is why I believe Trump should let them fight it out but not with our involvement. Europe wants to drag the U.S. into this conflict.
We can no longer save Europe, as they are committed to self-destruction which is happening because of their open arms welcome of the Muslim population that is in the process of destroying them as we debate this.
In the meantime, China is gearing up to gobble Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Taiwan.
South America has been turning communistic for decades.
Australia, Canada, and Mexico are also traveling down that path. Ukraine has already been captured by the globalists, and you are worried about Russia?
You are not paying attention to the bigger picture. at all.
That conflict between Ukraine/Russia is nothing more than the distraction to take down the U.S., and you refuse to see what is really taking place here.
If we hammered out a peace agreement, and then Russia tried to roll over Ukraine, that would be when we got seriously involved, and it would end up igniting WWIII, because that is what our involvement will produce.
Perhaps your gung-ho attitude desires that? It could have been resolved right at the beginning by removing the threat of Ukraine NATO membership, which was never an honest serious offer. It was merely the carrot to get Ukraine to agree to host the proxy war.
I would no more celebrate the loss of the Hermitage than I would the loss of the Smithsonian.
"Indiana, we are simply passing through history. This is history."
Divelous, I say! Quite divelous.
Is burp making up words now? 😂
Russia looks like an easier fight for China nowadays.
