The ancient Philistines were Greeks who came from across the sea. The muslims in the Levant were arab invaders from the desert who arrived in the 7th century. No relationship.

There is a relationship. Arabic uses Filistina and Filistiniun (Philistine and Philistines). Both peoples were in Gaza. Both peoples hated/hate Israel with a demonic hatred.

Kornbluth did refer to it by saying like, we respect different views and perspectives at MIT.

She missed an opportunity to condemn the speakers remarks as unacceptable. Sadly, she didn't display real leadership by taking a stand.

The MIT administration did keep the malcontent from marching in the procession to receive degrees! And her LinkedIn profile was deleted!

I applaud MIT for taking these measures.

Imagine being so stupid that you squander this golden opportunity to inspire others by spewing hateful language (ok, Scott Pelley did the same thing). Aside from the message, she is not a great speaker - style, tone, cadence lacking.
