Russia criticized the U.S. for its Golden Dome anti-missile system, announced recently by President Donald Trump, saying it undermines strategic stability.
Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, told Washington to abandon the deployment of weapons in space. Her comments came at a press briefing on Tuesday morning and were reported by TASS, a Russian state news agency.

Mao Ning, a spokeswoman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said at a press briefing: "This highly offensive system violates the principle of peaceful use of outer space. It will exacerbate the risk of turning outer space into a battlefield and starting an arms race, and shake the international security and arms control system."

Interesting statement coming from the country that shot its own satellite to show it's ability to shoot other countries' satellites (and fill the high traffic lane with debris).

It also protects the US from hostile regimes launching nukes in our direction.
We know that if Russia and China had the capability and resources to build a golden dome, they would never do that. Yea right,,,rolling eyes.

Russia doesn’t want us to be able to defend ourselves from an attack by them or others (Chyna). Too bad. Not sad. You a______s said the same about SDI. We’re gonna do it no matter what you do or say.
Crazy places have nukes today and more will be joining them in the future, so while an American defense against being totally destroyed should have been focus number one for researchers since the 1950s, now it is a very basic area of national defense for many countries.
America can’t keep depending on wishful thinking when the threat is total annihilation, think of the insanity of reality avoidance we have been living under all during the nuclear age, hope isn’t protection, we need defenses.

The Russians have the nerve to criticize us when they’re finishing off development of their S-550 missile system, which will make our ICBMs essentially useless.
And man were they afraid of it, I remember that well and they were frantic about it, panicked, I’ve never seen a country so excitedly vocal about something as Russia was about SDI.
More likely it strengthens the surveillance and control grid that will be used to take down its armed citizenry.
