She can see over the steering wheel?
All the usual places ....:)
Female gymnasts, swimmers and elite dancers are THIN, as are most female runners in track and soccer players. They are all extraordinarily fit; they don’t have that skanky, druggy, walking cadaver look that is so common among runway models. But most of them don’t carry an ounce of fat.
Then they retire, drop the brutal training regimes, and start developing curves. It’s always good to see one who has stayed in trim.
According to AI, her net worth is probably about $2 million, but not verified.
“ She’s a millionaire in her own right. Why she doesn’t have insurance is a mystery to me...... ”
Sounds like she drank her money away.
That could just be how much the house is worth that she lives in. Those online net worths are not necessarily that telling.
probably
She was still doing vaults and flips in movies and commercials into the Nineties, but I don't know about after that. Female gymnasts and females in general tend to start losing flexibility around ages 20 to 25. There are exceptions though, and even competitions where they are participating from their 30s on into their 60s (and some even older).
Why didn’t Mary Lou have insurance?
Retton said that insurance was simply too expensive for her, as a recently divorced woman with pre-existing health conditions. “When COVID hit and after my divorce and all my pre-existing (conditions) — I mean, I’ve had over 30 operations of orthopedic stuff — I couldn’t afford it…
Any of you DC area oldsters remember the Grease Man’s routines
about “Mary Lou”?
Glory is fleeting. But it exacts a high price.
Muckrakers..we should leave peo0le alone, unless they deserve it and Mary Lou does not deserve any grief.
Whataburger
And the SCUMBAG MURDER HIGH SCHOOL PUNK IN TEXAS HAS RACKED UP $500K + !?!?!?
UNFREAKING REAL...
I have been pulled over 3x because they thought Iwas drunk. All 3x there waa nothing to drink that day so I was not worried about blood alcohol level. The first time Ierroneously thought I saw a pothole (it was ashadow of some nearby object with weird midnight lighting) and I swerved. They made me do a sobriety test and quickly sent me back on my way. The 2nd time I had been going 5 over the speed limit & he thought I was unsteady & suspected drunk driving. Well the road was bumpy. We talked for about 1 minute and it was obvious that I was not drunk. The last time it was on a windy road where whenever the edge looked too close/dangerous I crossed the dotted line for the 2 lane road. We had a 2 minute discussion about my lane being wide enough the whole way and if I had to slow down under 5 mph out of fear to do so & not cross the dotted line. I told him I would follow his advice and put my hazard lights on right afterwards if I slowed down that much. He then told me that it was obvious I was not drunk.
In all 3 cases the cops asked for license, registration, and insurance. No issues anytime where they wanted a breathalyser.
Simple guideline for me - no driving within 3 hours of last drink & 1 hour extra for every drink beyond the last one. Its best to just drink at home or drink away from home of not driving. When I lived outside the US I never drove so this rule was easy.
Well, this all sounds unfortunate, but how on earth did she not have health insurance in 2023? Did not Obamacare fix those issues? I’m serious! And how old is she, she’s not eligible for medicare?
THANK YOU!!!!!!!
From the article.....Retton did not have insurance at the time and the crowdfunding page raised over $200,000 per day to pay for her medical expenses.
Not a bad gig if you can manage it.
Being a Mary Lou fan is still better than being a Bruce Jenner fan.
It’s WV. Strung out on pills.
Didn’t she paly ‘Tiny Tim’ in ‘Scrooge’?
Rush didn’t have insurance either. He used to talk about how much of a price break you got when insurance companies weren’t involved. Just saying.
