My best friend in Harvard graduate school was an alumnus of Whitman College. He was an atheist, so we argued a lot about religion. I hope he found God before he died.
It’s too bad that Whitman College sank so low as to host a lesbian “wedding”, with the college president presiding! Phooey!
The argument I'll make is that it should not be the government's business to issue marriage licenses.
In fact, it's one of the reasons why I'm in favor of "fair tax" which would impose a 30 percent national sales tax on purchases.
Obviously, we will see the Episcopal Church have a different approach than the Catholic Church when it comes to couples getting married.
And that's the way it should be.
