AA’s success rate isn’t higher than anybody else’s. It’s addiction to saying all other methods don’t work though frankly makes it a toxic organization.

...saying all other methods don’t work.
Not sure where you're drawing that conclusion from. I can say from personal experience that every single sober living place has serious issues with people using/drinking in the house. Same thing goes for treatment centers. The title "sober living scheme" is not unique. It happens so often that its just become an accepted part of the business...and it IS a business. Treatment counselors getting busted having inappropriate relations with "patients". "Patients" sexing it up with other "patients" happens all the time. Visitors show up once a week and pass dope to the "patients". Anyone that says it isn't happening is lying or clueless. James Oldham Treatment center in SE Washington state actually "borrows" the SNAP foodstamp cards from the "patients" and uses them to buy food for the program...which may or may not be legal...but thats what they do. I know for a fact that the place got sued and lost for abuse when an angry counselor locked an entire group of patients in one room for hours. One character trait of all addicts is defiance...so all this stuff is no surprise. They just do what it is that is the only thing they know how to do after being psychologically controlled by a substance for years and years. I'm not bashing the places. It just is what it is.
