The world has marveled at the efficacy of Israel’s “Iron Dome” missile-defense system, which has kept that nation safe amid countless attacks from its hostile neighbors.
But President Donald Trump revealed this week that his administration is working on something much more capable of protecting the U.S. from such threats.
Creating the “Golden Dome” has long been a goal of the president, and this week he and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth provided the biggest update on the project yet
(And immediately--- China calls for the U.S. abandon its plans for a ‘Golden Dome’ missile defense system.
“We urge the US to abandon its development and deployment of a global missile defense system…”}
If the PRC is against it, we have to triple the budget for it.
That thing got a turbocharger on it?
China better start worrying about its mineshaft gap.
i still remember USSR being against SDI (starwars) during President Reagan’s days.
Can it stop Russia’s Status-6 Oceanic Multipurpose System?
I bet the Chinese have something similar and are working on it.

Gee ... I've heard that before.
There was this President named "Reagan" ... and this idea called the "Stategic Defense Initiative" ... and this obstreperous enemy call the "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics".
Communists sure do get their knickers in a twist when more-or-less free countries start seriously making preparations for self defense.
SDI was not involved in the dissolution of the USSR.
Two things were and it was not one of them.
1) Oil prices fell when Alaska and the North Sea came online (both now almost empty)
2) The USSR’s central bank was NOT authorized to do QE. All it could do was create money commensurate with Interior Ministry’s 5 yr plan.
Item 2 was actually more important. They could have created the necessary money to pay people domestically just like the Fed does — whimsically.
But they made the mistake of thinking monetary policy had to actually make sense and was something more than whimsy.
