65? Bummer. Guess you blame the parents-genes.

That’s big news around here. The guy had a serious drug problem, but children of very wealthy people often have mental and substance abuse problems.

He was an extremely generous man, and a HUGE music lover.

A couple of years ago, I was invited to one of his pre-season concerts, and it was nothing less than amazing in every way.

He had his issues, but for me, that’s between him and our Lord. RIP, Mr. Irsay. Kick the stigma.

It wasn’t the parents’ genes. It was their money. Mr. Irsay was very open about his addiction to drugs, doctor-prescribed drugs. Pharmaceuticals.

He is but one example of why you DON’T want to be rich or famous. There’s so much pressure. Most of us aren’t cut out for that.

He loved all sorts of Rock n Roll. He was quite the collector, and he shared his collections with the public. In airports, in arenas. When I went to his preseason concert, I couldn’t believe everything that was on display. Like a museum.

I just hope that he knew our Lord. I think he did. If he didn’t, I hope he reached out to Him on his deathbed. He meant well. I hope he said yes to Jesus when the time came.

I’ve heard his name for years and years never knowing he was only 10 years older than me. He was the Colts General Manager at 24, and was the owner at 37!!!!

Jim Irsay, owner of the Indianapolis Colts, opposed Rush Limbaugh’s inclusion in a group seeking to purchase the St. Louis Rams. Irsay said he would vote against Limbaugh’s ownership of the Rams, citing Limbaugh’s “divisive” comments. Limbaugh’s bid to buy the team ran into opposition within the NFL, as Commissioner Roger Goodell also said he wouldn’t tolerate such comments from an NFL insider.

Read an SI article about Jim way back, when having again to wait forever for my podiatry appointment. Included his admission that his dad always a jerk if a drunk, and treated the REAL Colts pretty poorly. So much he was embarrassed to be on the bus with them all as Bob laid into the team.

Boy did my mom hate Irsay. My dad too but mom was always the kind to trumpet it everywhere, just as she did for Trump just like Trump. They loved their Colts but he was a bum who took them and also screwed them up for years anyway.
