Remember the "driving while black" myth that claimed blacks were targeted by cops for speeding violations?

There was a controlled statistical investigation from the Public Services Research Institute in Maryland for that, but since it gave the wrong answer it was "86ed."

One of those prime time news programs, 48hrs I think did a story about that in the 90s. They had black teenagers drive around and video taped it. After several hours of nothing the producers had the teens start violating traffic laws and dress gangster. They practically had to beg the police to pull them over.

Statistics are fun. I think I have these numbers about right.

Blacks are convicted of homicide at about twice the rate as Whites. Racism! Black on Black homicides is about 9 times as great as White on White homicides. Black on White homicides are twice as great as vice versa. Considering the high number of Black murders, Black conviction rates are probably too low. Racism!
