The Supreme Court allowed President Donald Trump to end the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) amnesty for more than 300,000 Venezuelan migrants.

In an 8-1 ruling on Monday, the majority justices granted an emergency application filed by the Trump administration that requested the Court lift an order from California-based U.S. District Court Judge Edward Chen that prevented the administration from revoking TPS protections for thousands of Venezuelan migrants, NBC News reported.

WATCH — ICE Agent: Biden Administration Immigration Policies Put the Public at Risk:

“The application for stay presented to Justice Kagan and by her referred to the Court is granted,” the brief order said. “The March 31, 2025 order entered by the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, case No. 3:25-cv-1766, is stayed pending the disposition of the appeal in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and disposition of a petition for a writ of certiorari, if such a writ is timely sought.”

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented.

In a press release, the Immigration Reform Law Institute Executive Director and general counsel Dale L. Wilcox noted that the Supreme Court “has repeatedly” recognized President Donald Trump’s “inherent authority to exclude aliens.”

Was this a verbal decision? Nothing shows up at the Supreme Court website.

Perhaps the ‘Turn Coat’ Supreme Court's generosity is due to the fact that most Venezuelans vote Republican.

Has Ketanji Brown Jackson ever sided with the Constitution and the United States?

I don’t see anything on that page that says Ketanji Brown Jackson has ever sided with the Constitution.

Umm

Each branch doesnt have to ask any other for permission for anything

We need to stop accepting the incorrect idea scotus and congress are somehow now more powerful and in charge of the executive branch.

Fast.

Good catch. They believe they are a little above God and far above us common peasants.

All rights and powers they don’t feel like holding will be allowed to trickle down to the Congress, President and citizens.

She has her prejudice mind made up long before the arguments are presented, which she finds boring and too hard to understand.
She should have never been anywhere near being seated as a Justice.

Probably not, since she doesn’t even define what a woman is.

The best missed hanging curveball was when she answered to the question what is a woman and answered “I am not a biologist”, the immediate follow up question should have been “ so being a woman is biological?”

Today, the House should begin impeachment proceedings against U.S. District Court Judge Edward Chen, whose order interfered with POTUS’s constitutional authority. It should become SOP that any judge whose opinion is reversed on final appeal, should be impeached for incompetence.

Not good enough. It won’t work. I say ARREST him, charge him with judicial insurrection, send him to GITMO for a fair trial, then execution. He directly attempted to violate Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution, subverting powers given by the founders to we the people, to himself and his judicial branch.
