600 lb person dies. Least surprising headline ever.
Still, I pity people who are so addicted to something they would rather die than give it up.

How’d you like to be a pallbearer for her?

I still don’t understand how these persons let themselves get so huge.

We had a 400 lb medical patient once. She begged for food throughout the day and night. She was on a prescribed diet, but she wanted more. Her family was incensed that we wouldn’t give her extra food.

They allowed that cavern picture on TV?
Egads.
She’s way too heavy. People need to help each other get healthier, when possible.

Just think...in heaven she has a new body.
Hope she’s there...grubbing out at the Lords table.

The priest at my church when I was a kid was well over 400 pounds. He was over 6 feet tall with a booming baritone voice so he was definitely a commanding presence.
Heard that when he went to the doctor for a checkup, they had to weigh him on the laundry scale at the hospital (this is true, not a snarky joke).
When he passed, I went to his viewing and the casket was the size of a double bed. Not sure how many pallbearers it took, had to be at least 8.

Since Pottain died of natural causes, there was no need for an autopsy. I don't blame them. I can imagine what the room would look like after that autopsy.

A decade or more ago, a friend who is a nurse was the top public spokesperson / PR for a good sized hospital. The stories she had of the equipment needed and problems dealing with the morbidly obese were frightening.

One form of mental illness that is prevalent on our society but goes largely undiagnosed as such is facilitating/enabling another person’s mental illness.
