The first thing Patel needs to do in an effort to “restore trust” is fire the 5,000 FBI agents who “were just following orders” on the J6 persecutions.
With that one step he would gain credibility and respect both within the agency and with the public.
Failure to do it will cost him dearly.
Do something - anything - other than blather about how serious they are about fixing things with inactivity. Just because they both talked a big game for a long time doesn’t mean it was real any more than the likes of Trey Gowdy were. Put up or shut up.
You can’t restore trust without restoring accountability.
Just exposing people is largely a transitory thing and isn’t enough to produce meaningful long term changes.
The people who violated our laws and destroyed the peoples’ confidence in their respective agencies need to pay a price and serve as an example of accountability. Only then will others take heed and start honoring the trust placed in them instead of abusing it.
Actions are needed, not more words.
Clearly, they're not needed.
That would do it for me.
A quick, thorough and irrevocable weeding of the FBI garden.
Smacking down any challenges from activist judges.
Agree 100%. And the agents involved in the Mar a Lago raid as well. We were taught early and often in the military that obeying an illegal order is the same as issuing an illegal order, there must be a price to pay for doing either. I thought the interview was nothing, not a bit of new news, waffling about who did what, “congress has the info” crap. Nothing has changed at the Justice Dept...yet.
In your mind only.....
