I’ve got a few cheap ones - 2 I wish I hadn’t bought
Two are alive (including the one I wish I hadn’t bought - I resurrected it after transferring it to another phone - which I intend to do - I’ve had another new phone sitting in the box for 2-3 years - I just want to move a game over)
I have a 3rd one that would be alive - it did a hard crash (software only) and cannot boot - it has stuff I don’t want to lose or I’d do a factory reset)
All of these phones are TracFone - No phone cost more than $40-$45 (I was working then)
One costs me $20 a month though if I was working I could buy a year of service and pay about 30% less (I think) - with TracFone’s new monthly card I have just over 48 gig of data - I almost always use the WiFi so I rarely use up my data - each month comes with an additional 4 gig
The other costs $20 ever 3 months - that’s my backup where one of my games is
I have the Walmart app, a local grocery store and an Amazon - which I don’t use the Amazon as much since I’m not working at the moment - hope to get that fixed - very frustrating these days - sigh
Will do.
A few months ago, I noticed that my local store had roped off all but one of the cash registers, and the employees were pushing “Cash & Go” hard.
Went to Customer Service and, in a friendly and non-confrontational manner, gently asked the lady there if she would find some way to relay to Corporate that doing away with the cashiers and trying to force digital payment on everyone was a horrible business decision, that would likely cost Sam’s MILLIONS of customers.
She looked surprised, then smiled back at me, whispered “I totally agree”, and said she would pass on to them what I said.
It’s got to be just a coincidence, but when I went back a week later, there were now THREE cash registers open instead of one, and no one was at the door pushing “Scan & Go”.
I'm with you. Personally, I think "smart" phones are stupid.
And just TRY to find a non-smart TV anywhere in your area. Some places may, but they're very few. Amazon does, however, so I bought one from them. I admit that I like watching the old retro shows, and that's ALL that I want a TV for.
Here they are FWIW:

“Now Sam’s Club is going this way in all stores”
not our local Sam’s store: most of its patrons can barely work a SNAP or debit card ... if it ever went all Scan&GO, it would empty out and have to close in a week or two ...
Please update this thread if anything changes!
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks will watch later Lord willing
God bless 🙏🙏🛐🙏✝️✝️
We have our TV hooked up to a DVD player and that’s all we watch short of TRUMP’s SOTU speech and his Inauguration.
I usually go to Sam’s once a month. This month I was shopping with toilet paper in the cart and a woman came up to me and asked me if I wanted to try the scan and go app. It would be really easy and I would save six dollars on my toilet paper.
I didn’t install the app and she could not believe I wouldn’t do it. But you’re gonna save six dollars she said! There were also several other employees with her looking at the incredulously.
Well the funny thing about the whole cashless thing was fear of the government... but reality is, its the banks that have the control here... Yes the government and leverage their systems to do things to you when you are cashless, but in reality the banks can at will do almost anthing they want.
Basically they get a percentage of every single transaction.. just about.
Doesn’t matter if the transaction is taxed or not, if you pay with a credit or debit card.. they get a cut.
currently, the big aluminum arches have been installed for at least two years, but they don’t seem to do much ... seems to me that everyone checks out at self-checkout or manual checkout ... everyone then passes through the arches and either is stopped and checked again or let on by without checking ... we’re only stopped about 1 out of 25 times, and usually by someone new ... it really looks to me like the door checkers after the arches are simply profiling people ...
Agree. As a conservative and supporter of Trumps agenda I struggle with the stance with Walmart and tariffs. Like many companies that have either excessive greed or agenda driven, I have to pick my battles. I’ll still shop there.
WOW
Of course some 🏦🏦🏦 banks want to
decide if we can BUY guns or even ammunition
That’s what I was thinking as well. Now you’re required to have a smart phone to buy goods.
I just want to say I invented scan and go. Unfortunately, I didn’t tell anyone. My idea was before cell phones and each cart would have a wireless scanner. You scanned your items as you put them in the cart, then you were charged automatically as you exited the store. I also invented the scan and go propane exchange. I didn’t tell anyone about that one, either. I coulda been rich.
I invented the Question Mark.

Interesting thought 🤔🤔🤔
Cellphone 📱📱📱 = Government Tracking Device
/shiny side out
