If you or anyone you know and love has psoriasis, stay away far away from blockers.
Blockers are really bad news. Friend of mines kid just committed suicide. He was taking one of those blockers.
I keep my psoriasis at ease by fasting and or intermittent fasting.. Not necessarily cutting carbs. This crap getting peddled on tv is just that: crap.
I love yall, be careful.
what is/are blockers?
My sister has psoriasis. One possible reason for it is that there may be a food allergy involved.
Was it an IL-23 blocker, like Humira?
What kind of blockers? Beta blockers? The beta blockers caused the suicide or the psoriasis was caused by the beta blockers?
One possible reason for it is that there may be a food allergy involved.
________
Of course. I have not found the source. But when I fast, whether intermittent or what have you, it does not matter. It will start clearing up. I just eat too much I suppose. Thats what I’ve been leaning on here lately.
My lawyer said to be quiet. But it’s popular.
You might want to remove one food item at a time, with advice of how to do this from a dietician, to see if there is one food that is causing it.
It could a sugar problem. Not processed sugar, mind you, if your diet is low in processed sugar, but in your total carbs. If your carb count is too high, your body can’t process all your carbs and may just be converting to blood sugar to try and store it somewhere.
JAK-3 inhibitor. Not good at all.
Every 3 days, change bedding, take a shower and on your soapy washcloth, add Head & Shoulders Deep Scalp Clean shampoo - then scrub down, yourself, top to bottom - except of course, protecting your eyes.
I do a warrior diet. I am male. Once a day.My body tells me what it wants to eat. I got about a 3 hour window or whatever. Eat whatever I want as much as I want.
What I have found is that I am eating a lot of berries for dessert.
I am at my fighting weight and annoying my wife.
Something to the berries.
Maybe. Try eliminating berries for a while. A naturopath told me that sugar is one of the causes of dry skin.
May look up a regime on how to recurrent your skin.
People who can trace their ancestry to Northern Europe are adapted to being efficient in their use of carbs, so you have to limit your intake of short chain carbs.
Very sorry for your friend’s kid.
I havwe it seasonally, a patch on my right lower leg and on the back side f my upper right arm. It usually comes in Late winter or spring.
The only thing that cures it is sun or a UV tanning bed.
Stress makes it worse.
Are you talking about beta blockers?
My husband has psoriasis and has had nearly miraculous results with taking turmeric tablets.
By “Blocker”, I assume you mean “histamine blocker.” The role of the histamine H4 receptor in atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.
I have had major problems with this and found the cure after several hospital visits and illnesses in a simple enzyme, Diamine Oxidase(DAO). It is an over the counter supplement that actually degrades histamines in the body. It is far better than a blocker as it does not cause the horrible side effects of a blocker. I now make it myself and it is easy to make.
If you really want to understand Histamines, here is an excellent article that summarizes how they effect the entire body. Not just sinus congestion, stomach acid excess, inflammation, but also heart arrhythmias, joint pain, psoriasis, eczema, arthritis, migraine headaches, irritable bowel syndrome ...
Here is a link to the article: https://ajcn.nutrition.org/article/S0002-9165(23)28053-3/fulltext
“in vitro studies on human immune cells, which play a role in psoriasis, provide more conflicting results to predict a successful treatment of the disease with H4 receptor antagonists. On one side, the enhanced production of IL‐17 and histamine‐induced migration of immune cells may foster the inflammation, and on the other side, down‐regulation of pro‐inflammatory cytokines or chemokines most pronounced in pDCs from psoriasis patients may control the inflammation. Psoriasis is mainly a Th1‐/Th17‐mediated disease. “

Antihistamines in the treatment of pruritus in psoriasis
Antihistamines of the first and second generations seem to be effective in reducing itch in patients with psoriasis, albeit the antipruritic effect is rather moderate.
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5831281/
Pruritus, commonly known as itching, is a symptom that can occur in various conditions, including psoriasis, which is a chronic skin disease characterized by red, scaly patches. While pruritus refers specifically to the sensation of itch, psoriasis is a specific condition that may cause this symptom along with other skin changes.
“...Stress makes it worse...”
For sure.
I think it’s hereditary. My paternal grandmother had it and I do as well...along with my nephew.
“I keep my psoriasis at ease by fasting and or intermittent fasting..”
Here is why that works.
When you eat, the stomach stretches, causing the G-cells in the lining of the stomach to release Gastrin into the bloodstream. Gastrin is a peptide hormone that stimulates secretion of gastric acid by the parietal cells of the stomach.
It does this indirectly by causing the Enterochromaffin Like Cells (ECL Cells) in the lining of the stomach to produce Histamines, Serotonin, and Somatotropin (HGH). The histamines then trigger the h2 receptors in the parietal cells in the Fundus of the stomach to release both acid for digestion and Intrinsic Factor. (Intrinsic Factor attaches to B-Vitamins and protects them in the acid of the stomach so they are not destroyed. Specifically B-12, a deficiency of which causes severe depression.)
This is why many elderly get B-12 injections to bypass the acid in the stomach.
Bottom line is that two chemicals are effected that can cause severe depression, Vitamin B-12 Deficiency and the Serotonin produced in the ECL cells. (95% of the human Serotonin is produced in the ECL cells in the stomach) Prozac and other SSRI’s are drugs to increase serotonin in the body. This is one reason that blockers are dangerous.
I mentioned above about DOA enzyme. It degrades histamines in the entire body and does not function as a “blocker.” I figured this out during my last visit to the ER, while researching on my phone. I ordered them from Amazon, took two tablets before I went to bed, and woke up in the morning after the best sleep I have had in years, feeling 30 years younger.
Histamines also cause severe brain fog. I was drinking coffee to clear my mind. Ends up the caffeine in the coffee also destroys the DAO enzyme in the body. I was caught in a vicious cycle, drinking coffee 24/7 to clear the brain fog, not realizing that it was also causing it.
I woke up with a clear mind, no inflammation in my lungs, neck or joints..... and truly felt 30 years younger from just taking 2 tablets of DAO Enzyme.
What amazed me was that a few days after this I had my annual physical with my primary care Dr. He is a fabulous Dr and I’ve seen him for over 15 years. I took a copy of the journal article above and the box of DAO enzyme with me to the appointment. He was not familiar with it. He took the journal article and promised that he would read it and follow up on it. I’ve since discussed this with several Dr’s who are friends of mine, and none of them were familiar with this simple enzyme.
I make it by sprouting green peas in a dark environment for 10 days. Luckily, I have a commercial freeze dryer so I dried and powdered it, and now fill my own capsules.
It dries the sinuses out like taking a Benadryl, with no drowsiness. Remember, it degrades histamines in the body, it does not block them.
The problem is that when food is cooked, temperatures over 104 degrees degrades the DAO enzyme.
