They had their chance. Now it seems like they just try to attract attention. Waste of time.
The WNBA has become a metaphor for United States society to me. Every time Caitlin Clark plays in the WNBA cesspool of lesbian, racist, probably tranny freaks she overcomes the bullying assaults, the bias officiating, the failure of the league or her teammates too protect her from every game beatings and did it all without responding in kind for her entire rookie season.
It wasn't that Clark was afraid of anyone but because Clark just wanted to change the WNBA in a way that wouldn't destroy it at the same time. A white, straight, mid-western generational ballplayer decided to change the WNBA by bringing the entire league with her into the riches that 25 years of a WNBA cesspool could not BY JUST PLAYING REAL BASKETBALL. Funny thing is the cesspool hates Clark for it but everyone of them will benefit from her approach.
Clark spent the entire off season working on every aspect of her game in daily workouts that only a few of the most elite athletes in the world could endure or even complete. The new Clark is much bigger, much stronger, more explosive off the initial movement and able to laugh and walk and run through contact that would have rocked her last year while still being the best pure shooter in basketball with virtually unlimited 3 point shot range.
So now we come to Clark's Indiana Fever 2025 season game opener against the Angel Reese Chicago Sky, a team that lead the league in flagrant technical fouls in 2024 of which the most vicious would warrant assault charges and jail time on the street. The person assaulted, almost exclusively, was of course Caitlin Clark. Former Chicago Sky 2024 players Diamond DeShields and Chennedy Carter are now de facto banned from the WNBA, probably for life because of those fouls. The third culprit was the wonderful Angel Reese. Angel was a little more subtle in getting her shots in on Clark but no less vicious or less frequent while leading the cheers for the other 2 goons when they took their runs at Clark. Angel remained unpunished for her actions until today and it was Angel who initiated the entire incident with her shove to the back of another Indiana Fever player going after a rebound.
After Angel shoved the other Fever player completely out of bounds and secured the contested rebound Angel moved towards the basket to score. AT this point Clark grabbed the ball held by Angel wrestled for possession with the much bigger Angel and put Angel on her enormous ass with an ease that was eye opening.
Angel jumped up mouthing off to Clark while moving towards Clark back Fever player Boston raised a hand to keep them separated without touching anyone as Clark looked over her shoulder at Reese.
And then I saw the look on Reese's face. It was the look of the bully trying to figure out how her favorite smaller target for a year had just put her on her ass in front of a packed stadium with consummate ease.
You could probably smell the burning rubber from her sneakers when Angel wised up and hit the brakes because I'm pretty sure Clark was not going to keep walking away.
