My 42 year old son has degrees in physics and business administration. He took a real estate license class and rather quickly parlayed that into being a real estate broker. He has licenses in 5 states. Despite all the credentials, it is still a tough market. He keeps food on the table by performing 5+ broker price opinions daily. He has closed a few listings lately. His mom is hoping he lands a few good ones to repay the $26,000 she forked over to put him in a reliable car. It doesn't hurt that he speaks fluent Spanish. Lately, he has been leveraging grok3 and ChapGPT to optimize his real estate work. In his spare time, he prefers nuclear physics. I'm not certain he can find good openings in that field right now.

My youngest is 37. He was just recruited back to the Valvoline shop. All pay and benefits restored to where he was before taking a position at a rental company. The 40 minute drive to work was wearing him and his car out. Valvoline is an 8 minute drive to work. Better pay. Better benefits. Sometimes long days with lots of OT because of high demand for quality work. It's messier than working with all the laptops at the rental place, but still a good trade-off.

Have a look at Linked-In. There might be some leads there or make a post with interests and qualifications. It's a decent place to rub elbows with recruiters and professionals. Online applications are likely to be screened by AI. The application disappears rapidly.

She is looking for REALLY entry-level (minimum wage). I hope Wendy's isn't screening the applications with AI too much. I can get work for myself (despite eschewing LinkedIn). But she is having problems getting on that first rung.
