Well pretty much the scariest movie I ever saw. Saw it first at a local movie theater in the early 70's, scared the hell out of me and the above picture is democrat voters going to the polls
The new version will be woke and stupid

The new version will be woke and stupidThey should leave well enough alone, but they'll go for bigger and better and more expensive and put a chick in it and make her gay. Whereas a lot of the appeal of the original was that it was made on a shoestring by Romero but was still frightening - at least it was the first time I watched it.

Plus you won’t be watching from the backseat of your car at the Drive In.

Is Romero still alive? He wouldn’t tolerate that.

Anything that is “rebooted” is crap.
Even Alfred Hitchcock remade one or two of his early films, but they weren’t “reboots”. Hollywood has nothing to offer at all anymore except crap remakes, CGI superhero junk, and rehashed tropes with all of the above.

They should be required by law to send a $100,000 check to the estate of George Romero.

Might still happen…I'm gonna be so busted for this one, but I can't resist:

ditto ... saw it at a drive-in in the 70’s in a carload of siblings and cousins, a few of whom we snuck in via the trunk ... we were all smoking pot and got so scared that we all voted to vamoose pretty much as soon as the dead started rising and walking from their graves ...

Damn of the Dead was even better. I saw it at the theater in 1978.
There are so many zombie movies and TV shows, it is going to be hard to make something good and interesting that we haven’t already seen a hundred times before...

The woke version: Barbara won’t be catatonic. They’ll merge her and Ben into strong black woman. Who gets the role? Viola Davis or Cynthia Erivo?
