Night of the Living Dead, the horror classic that birthed the modern zombie genre, is getting a reboot, and writer LaToya Morgan has now confirmed that the screenplay is complete. With rising filmmaker Nikyatu Jusu attached to direct, the project is one of the most anticipated horror reimaginings in recent memory. Originally released in 1968 and directed by the legendary godfather of zombies, George A. Romero, Night of the Living Dead broke ground for its depiction of a zombie outbreak. Now, more than five decades later, this new sequel, which seeks to restart the franchise, promises to carry that legacy forward

Thank you very much and God bless you.
The new version will be woke and stupid
They should leave well enough alone, but they'll go for bigger and better and more expensive and put a chick in it and make her gay. Whereas a lot of the appeal of the original was that it was made on a shoestring by Romero but was still frightening - at least it was the first time I watched it.
The new version will be woke and stupid...
Plus you won’t be watching from the backseat of your car at the Drive In.
If you hear “reimagined for today’s audience” run away.
Made in Pittsburgh by Romero with a local cast. Impressive for its time for casting a black actor in a leading role in which race was not a factor whatsoever.
George Romero was one of the nicest people I met in Hollywood, a very modest and relaxed personality.
Is Romero still alive? He wouldn’t tolerate that.
I’m kind of partial to “Train to Buson” myself.
This time the live people will be eating the zombies.
Anything that is “rebooted” is crap.
Even Alfred Hitchcock remade one or two of his early films, but they weren’t “reboots”. Hollywood has nothing to offer at all anymore except crap remakes, CGI superhero junk, and rehashed tropes with all of the above.
“Train to Busan” may well be the best zombie movie ever.
They should be required by law to send a $100,000 check to the estate of George Romero.

Eddie Murphy said you couldn’t do a black version of “The Amityville Horror”
Eddie Murphy: In “The Amityville Horror,” the ghost told them to get out of the house. White people stayed in there. Now that’s a hint and a half for your ass. A ghost say get the ____ out, I would just tip the ___ out the door! Lou Walker looked in the toilet bowl, there was blood in the toilet. And said, “That’s peculiar.”
I would’ve been in the house saying: “Oh baby, this is beautiful. We got a chandelier hanging up here, kids outside playing. It’s a beautiful neighborhood. We ain’t got nuttin’ to worry about, I really love it, this is really nice.”
Eddie Murphy: [imitating loud whisper] “GET OUT”
Eddie Murphy: “Too bad we can’t stay, baby!”

Well, in NOTLD it was the radiation from the Venus probe that brought the dead back to life.
Might still happen…
George Clooney before he took himself too seriously...
IS THAT FOR REAL?! IF SO, HARD PASS!
I don't care for the Zombie movies but Buson had such great cinematography, I couldn't stop once it started...and the scene with the locomotive dragging the horde of zombies behind it was awesome !!!!!
Agreed!
