Last night, Fox's Family Guy made a crude joke about rape and abortion in an episode that was otherwise focused on corruption in China.
In the episode "China Doll," Stewie and Brian (Seth MacFarlane) travel to China after Stewie sees a "Made in China" tag on his stuffed animal, Rupert.
Due to a misunderstanding, Brian and Stewie end up in a Chinese forced labor camp that is creating solar panels.
While there, Stewie criticizes liberals for supporting the use of solar panels manufactured in China. In response, Brian insults conservatives for overturning Roe v. Wade.
Stewie: Twenty years in a labor camp for spying on China. What a mess.
Brian: "Hire Sidney Powell," he said.
Stewie: It's the only place she's still licensed.
Prison Guard: Break's over. Get back to work making solar panels for American liberals.
Brian: Didn't realize all our solar panels are made by Chinese political prisoners.
Stewie: Yes. White liberals have a lot to answer for.
Brian: [Chuckles] Well, I'd say conservatives do as well, especially in a post Roe V. Wade world.
Woman: Oh my gosh, I finally get to see this little guy. [Gasps] He's adorable. He looks just like your rapist.
Rapist: I think he looks like both of us.
Woman: He's a cutie. He's gonna be a little lady killer.
Rapist: Well, we'll see. I don't want to put any pressure on him.
While abortions due to rape are less than one percent of abortions in the U.S. overall, a child conceived in rape is still a human being worthy of life and not a reflection of a father's evil. The "joke" was twisted.
Family Guy has pushed pro-abortion propaganda many times throughout its long history on television and has also made rape jokes in the past. An abortion episode that creator Seth MacFarlane wrote in 2009 was so dark and macabre that Fox refused to air it at the time.
MacFarlane's abortion jokes were not funny then, and they are still unfunny now.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Not all scripts in bad taste are deserving of seeing the light of day.
Ezekiel 22:26
Agreed.
Seth McFarlane has hit a new low even for him.
Regards,
Because, hey, what’s funnier than rape and killing the innocent kid?
But if the addition I suggested had been made, it would have turned the whole thing into a pro-life statement (by drawing attention to the financial gain of the pro-abortionists).
A grim joke, yes: But pro-life!
Regards,
The early years were the good ones.
Dammit - take away the abortion part and the show is quite eye-opening: ‘We slaves making solar panels for American liberals’ - would force Leftists to think, for once.
A bloodied abortionist is never funny
Ironically, the ones being mocked here are the ones doing the mocking.
Ostensibly, the pro-lifers are being mocked for believing a newborn conceived in rape could possibly be “adorable”, or deserve to live.
Well what’s wrong with that? - any newborn IS adorable and deserves to live..
So, if you ask me, it’s the pro-abortionists who wind up looking really bad in this exchange - they think it’s laughable to believe an innocent baby conceived in rape could possibly be adorable, or deserve to live.
Family Guy has always been liberal. It has always been anti-Jew. It has always driven over the lines of good taste.
While some of the jokes are horrible, the show has always been one of the funniest on TV. And no one should take it seriously.
The main characters are a baby and a talking dog. It isn’t “serious.”
Nazi’s were amateurs compared to today’s liberals.
When that show first came out, I watched a few episodes, saw where it was going, and never watched it again. It’s trash.
That’s the problem in my mind. I’m 63 and I can remember when a murder was considered big news and the community I live in was 300,000 back in the early 70s. Today, no one shrugs if it happens. The fact that topics like this are mainstreamed means we’re becoming desensitized to these sorts of topics. Ask yourself this, if abortion is just a procedure, why has it never been televised like transplants, open heart surgery etc. It’s because people would see a human being reacting to being torn alive. I don’t find that very amusing but maybe I’m not as advanced as others.
It’s a great pity that Macfarlane uses his enormous God-given talent for such trash.
I understand what you are saying and I tend to agree with it.
That said, as a child of the 60’s I was inundated with visuals of war. This was from TV (12 I’Clok High, Combat, etc) and Movies. The news was full of war. Our parents, uncles, and neighbors were “raised” in war.
I never thought War was a good idea.
Adults should be able to discern between satire and real life. When taken in its entirety l, the show (which is for adults) makes fun of just about everything and everyone. Some jokes fall flat. Others are funny. That’s why it’s entertainment.
I respect others opinions and feelings on the issue. There are many shows (especially on the streaming services) where I will just “Nope” out of when they get preachy.
