I have no inside information, but the longer the Rose-saga took to play out, the more obvious it was that the plan was to induct Pete AFTER he died. Pete constantly lied and misrepresented what he had done after he was caught dead to rights. I think that it was quite reasonable under those circumstances to deny him the right to give an induction speech.

Don’t know about Jackson. I say f them both. Trump will be more forgiving.

Yet there are members of Congress who lie, and commit fraud on American taxpayers repeatedly without being held accountable...Pelosi, Schiff, Durbin, etc...Blumenthal for Stolen Valor, and others, but all will end up with life-time pensions and benefits just because they were able to pull the wool over the voters eyes.
