AAABEST: "Putin doesn’t need to meet/talk with anyone.
He’s certainly not stupid enough to agree to any ceasefire while arms and cash continue to flow from the west."

"Arms and cash" will never stop flowing from the West, ever, so long as Russian forces remain within Ukraine's internationally recognized borders.

AAABEST: "Despite all of Ukraine’s resources, and NATO spending multiple times Russia’s military budget, Russia is prevailing."

  1. No, beginning in April 2022, Russian forces retreated from about half the Ukrainian territories they had previously conquered.

  2. This left Russians in control of nearly 38,000 square miles of Ukrainian territory, or 16% of Ukraine's 233,065 square mile total territory.

  3. As of today, Russian's occupy around 39,000 square miles of Ukraine, or 17%.

  4. Russian gains since 2022 came at the cost of some 800,000 Russian casualties, including ~200,000 deaths, which is roughly three Russians for every one Ukrainian.

  5. On military spending: when calculated at Purchase Price Parity (PPP), Russia's military is around $560 billion per year, compared to NATO which, not including the US, is now up to ~$800 billion at PPP (2.1% of combined GDPs).
The US spends around $1 trillion on national defense.
AAABEST: "I would give them all the middle finger and just start bombing Odessa.
Losers don’t get to dictate terms."

With or without their middle fingers, Russians have regularly bombed Odessa, along with every other Ukrainian city they can reach.
And yet they've been unable to make significant new territorial conquests since 2022.

AAABEST: "The delusion and wishful thinking around this is mind-boggling.
Even Trump hasn’t come to terms with the REALITY that his choices are what Biden’s were - walk away or continue tossing resources into the blackhole."

Not so "mind-boggling", because those are also Putin's choices.
Ukrainians & Europeans have no choices except to keep fighting & supporting Ukraine, so long as Russian forces occupy Ukrainian territories.

To BroJoeK :

Indeed.
As long as Russia continues to violate international law by invading sovereign nations, deploying North Korean Communist forces onto European soil, and supporting Islamist terrorist regimes like Iran, the European Union will have no choice but to stand firm and apply *Law and Order* policies - that’s what conservatives do. The EU will continue to finance and support Ukraine’s highly effective military defense — not just for Ukraine’s sake, but for Europe’s security as a whole.

Ukraine has become the EU’s first line of defense against the aggressive advance of the Russia–North Korea–Iran axis — a bloc built on Islamism, NeoSovietism and Communism - united in its hatred for the EU and America.

To AAABEST :
Given this reality, your position raises questions... You sound like a staunch supporter of the Iran–Russia–North Korea alliance. So tell me — what exactly appeals to you about Islamism, NeoSovietism and communism?

It’s an odd stance, especially on a conservative platform like FR.
