Apparently Shingrix is not MRNA, but good old Pfizer is trying to introduce a shingles MRNA vaccine. This article says "the shingles vaccine," and but it seems to be referring to a live virus vaccine, not Shingrix. My guess is that no such study has been done on Shigrix.

Can you say “stock market manipulation?”

Shingrix is a recombinant vaccine.

You can’t get Zostavax in the US anymore.

I’ll opt for a therapeutic if the issue arises.

My dad had painful shingles for the last decade of his life. He lived to be 89 (a month short of 90).
He suffered pretty badly from it. So I have had interest in possibly getting
the (a) shingles vaccine. Still researching it and am undecided.
I’m pretty hesitant about ALL vaccines at present, understandably.
Thanks for posting this.

I got the Shingrix vaccine, and five months later, I was suffering from idiopathic pericardial effusion, which required going in twice to have the pericardial sac drained before they put a window in it.

There is no way way I would believe this. It is BS.

Come on fellow old people. We to take this crap and die. LOL

I paid attention to the words. “could lower” does not mean “does lower”.

Two of my elderly relatives got shingles - one told me it isn’t just extremely painful skin lesions, it can be internal as well, she said her bones and joints ached with every outbreak. She said she couldn’t get comfortable and was miserable every time it recurred.

My neighbor said shingles affected his heart - he thought he was having a heart attack b/c of the pain - but all tests produced normal results. Doctor said it was a result of shingles.

Still, I’m very hesitant about taking the vaccine and so far haven’t done so.

Yes, let us reverse these great stats by replacing Shingrix and other vaccines with mRNA. Depopulationists everywhere will rejoice.

Merck’s shingles vaccine is called Zostavax, a live attenuated virus vaccine. It was previously available in the United States, but it’s no longer available for use since 2020. A newer recombinant vaccine, Shingrix, is now the preferred and recommended shingles vaccine for adults 50 and older.

Two of my children worked in the Merk plant making that vaccine. They both quit saying Merk sucks as an employer. Their poor quality control is why my daughter quit Merk.

Merk has lawsuits against it due to side effects of their vaccine.

Shingle vax with autoimmune conditions like diabetes arthritis?
Anyone.
I was thinking of trying it.
I had chicken pocks really bad when I was a kid...so wondering if I should roll the dice.
I don’t normally do any vax...I don’t trust doctors as to be anything other than salesmen for pharmaceuticals anymore.
They have collectively destroyed public trust in them as a whole.

I got the Shingrix vaccine a few years ago. The first shot made me horribly ill for about four or five days, and the shoulder that was injected was very swollen and painful for weeks after. The second injection six months later was much easier and caused virtually no side effects at all.

I also used to get an immediate 102 degree temperature and sore throat every time I received a flu shot (which I have stopped getting since they never seem to make much difference). Maybe my immune system just overreacts to vaccines or something. I’ve known other people who had no major issues with the Shingrix vaccine, but most have had at least some short-lived side effects, even if mild.

As far as I know it’s working, since I haven’t gotten shingles, but it’s always impossible to know if the results would have been different without the vaccine.

I got the two shots at the VA during the last ten months, would that be the Shingrix?

A few years ago a guy about my age (64) got shingles in his eyes and it messed him up. That convinced me to get the traditional shingles vax. It is a traditional vax and had at least 60 years of successful use. I’m sure it’s the last vax I will ever get.

Shingrix completely replaced the original vaccine [Zoster Vax?] at least ten years ago.

mRNA shingles vaccine?

I am hearing about that for the first time - in this post.
