His last retweet, on April 14, slams the Trump administration's deportation of undocumented migrant and Maryland resident Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador.
The post reads: 'Do you not see the suffering? Is your conscience not disturbed? How can you stay quiet?'
Pope Leo XIV also shared several articles that address Catholic JD Vance's stance on immigration. One of them is titled: 'JD Vance is wrong: Jesus doesn't ask us to rank our love for others.'

That was pfunny :)
Anytime I think about becoming a Catholic simply because they offer more convenient service times for me, I think about these sorts of ideologies and wrong’uns they have in the church.
That’s a fine point
Unbelievable. 🙄😠
I have no appetite for attacks on Pam.

You’re full of crap. That’s fake. He knew he was going to be Leo XIV on April 14?

...Estimates show that by 2030, half of U.S. Latinos will identify as Protestant evangelicals who actually lean right—a shift that will shape voting patterns for decades to come...
Mexico has a wall on its Southern border. *crickets*
Spain has walls around its North African enclaves *crickets*
America builds a wall.....Unchristian! Cruel! Mean! etc etc.
Exactly
Great point. 👍

It was a snark.
For those here that do.

Soon afterwards, Paul was traveling all over the place trying to raise money for the Christians in Jerusalem that had gone broke.
That method is still used for missionary work - where the missionaries rely on the kindness of others so that they may focus on spreading the word of God. It is a good system for that. Running society as a whole using that system sets it up for failure.
IMHO, I think the early Christians in Jerusalem thought that Jesus’ return was imminent, so they didn't need their stuff (”sold everything”) and the saving of people was urgent due to their belief that Christ was soon returning.
Of course I'm the other way, and there is no urgency or rush to proclaim Jesus to others - even the one's I love. There is time....
I agree. Marxists cleverly and deceptively side with Satan.
Thank you. Created during President Donald Trump’s first term.
And here we are..... AGAIN 🤦♀️🤦♂️🤦🤦♀️🤦♂️🤦🤦♀️🤦♂️🤦
Stay in your lane, Leo.
CC
plus they can’t read and they believe in magic (ducking)
I'm missing something. Did anyone on FR say that Prevost knew back on April 14 that he'd be pope? People are just trying to get a feel for what the new pope is like, so a post he made less than a month ago is reasonable discussion.
Unless you're talking about the silly meme I made from the old MS 13 photo Trump promoted. Of course, the "LEO 14" is new, I just now put that onto the image. Should I have used a sarcasm tag?
> I’m thinking the Catholic church gets a lot of its new converts from the immigrant community?
You have to consider that the majority of Latin America is Catholic. It’s very unusual to see Protestants or Jews there. All the major holidays in these countries are Catholic.
I know that’s a serious consideration when they’re picking a Pope to appeal to those folks.
Where I live in California it is tough to find a conservative Catholic church. You can’t avoid that there are a lot of Hispanics who attend. A lot of the Hispanics that went to church with me who supported Trump are now changing their tune after the recent deportations. I had to stop talking to them, it raises my blood pressure.
So... I guess us conservative Catholics are left with praying the new Pope has a change of heart. God is in control, ultimately, that’s the only thing that gives me hope.
The pope needs to understand the difference between legal and illegal immigration.
Or just before President Donald Trump’s first term.
