Every one of them is desperate to achieve ever higher political office, but they have no desire, once in office, to fulfill promises or make American life better.
When I was about nine years old, my Irish Setter loved to chase the UPS delivery truck. We could never figure out why he wanted to chase it. And we joked about what he would do if he caught it. Then it happened. He caught the truck. Or maybe the truck caught him. Either way, the result wasn’t pretty, and we were left with a major mess to clean up.
For years, that old question had me baffled as I watched the Democrat party lurch farther and farther left. “What are they trying to achieve?” “What do they want to do with this power?” Then I stumbled across a meme that swept all the mystery away. “Power isn’t the means to an end. Power IS the end.”
Let’s say that again. The Left worships power, and it never considers what it would do with the power it covets. Before you get all worked up in a lather over my lack of mental faculties, please consider what mental faculties the core Left demonstrates. Congressman Shri Thanedar announced articles of impeachment against President Trump, claiming that, “His unlawful actions have subverted the justice system, violated the separation of powers, and placed personal power and self-interest above public service.”
Say again? While there are legal arguments that various of Trump’s actions may be contrary to the law, those haven’t yet been adjudicated. So far, through all of his first term and his first 100 days, there is no legal determination that he has acted contrary to the rulings of any court, including that of James Boasberg, who continues to issue orders

The leftist judges have unconstitutional belief systems that they act on.

They’ve been REALLY CLEAR what they will do, once they get the power they crave. All one has to do is look at what they did to the people they considered ‘enemies’ in the Soviet Union, China, and Cambodia, for starters.
First, they LOCK-DOWN elections to make sure they never lose power again, at least at the ballot box. Then they go house-to-house to deal with the people they consider their ‘enemies’ - and no, you guns won’t help a bit - GET OVER THAT FANTASY. The modern way of going house-to-house is to simply ‘de-platform’ their enemies, by cutting off their access to society, particularly after they get their Digital Currency in place. A few examples of what they are able or will soon be able to do, remotely:
1. Freeze and empty bank accounts
2. Cut off credit cards
3. Cut off mail service and other deliveries
4. Disable your truck
5. Cut off your Internet
6. Cut off your power and other utilities
...and much more - so YOU BETTER BEHAVE as they order, should they get that political power.

I tend to disagree. Power is the goal. Corruption and violence are the tools.
To the left, power is their preferred currency.
Yes, they are "power tripping" but their *MAIN* goal is money. They get into power so that they can get money through every crooked trick of using the government to get them paid.
Joe Biden shows the dirty little bribery scheme most Liberals have going on when they get power. They use intimidation, they use kickbacks, money laundering, bribery, running fake organizations that funnel money into their pockets, and so forth.
Look at how many liberal congressmen entered the House with very little money, and were soon multi-millionaires.
Nancy Pelosi (what useful thing has she ever done in her life?) is worth something like 130 million. She makes sure her husband's companies get lots of government contracts and they are rolling in the ill-gotten dough. (Her dad was an actual Mafioso.)
It's no more complicated than greed. It's all about the money, and it has always been about the money. Everything else is a smokescreen created to make it look like they are trying to do good things for the people of America.
