I just checked for prices in May 2025 (No discount) and they started at $87 US. I’ve been on the Eurostar out of London. It’s cheap.

MM just yesterday I got off Amtrak, again! I have 5 segments left over on my USA rail pass and since I paid for them I figured I would use them. I have been to California and back twice in the last 30 days by Amtrak. I did NOT get treatment like this by any employee of Amtrak so in in the future any chance I can to put down the airlines and show how bad they are I will!!! Say what you all want about Amtrak they are not like this.
I just got off Amtrak again yesterday, was on it for a whole week! I rode the California Zephyr! Beautiful train!
Loved the Colorado river. Then the Conductor gets on the PA and says “This is the Colorado River. We are sorry to inform you about some of the people rafting down the river as many of them have a hobby of mooning the California Zephyr please don’t be offended. Amtrak can’t do anything to stop them. We ask that you don’t moon them back.”
They make me grin to watch...they talk like brothers (family brothers, not skin pigmentation brothers) too...
