It’s hammer time!
Does this mean they will have their National championship revoked?
Common knowledge. Just ask the Buckeyes..
This must have been written by someone who is a Buckeye and is wishcasting the BCS championship is completely separate deal from the ncaa their national title is going nowhere. The NCAA and it’s toothless enforcement arm may give them a major fine and maybe a scholarship reduction but they would have to prove being Purdue 49-0 would have been different with signgate.
Ohio state still can beat them even with no quarterback
Revoked by who? The NCAA can’t tell a girl from a boy.
The NCAA will issue a sternly worded letter
Until the next one comes along. Does anybody really think that this will discourage the next ones from thinking that they are smarter than the people at Michigan were, and they will be able to pull this off?
Too much money is involved for this to stop. The easy solution is to remove the money and go back to Chip Hilton days, but that ship probably sailed a long long time ago.
Jumper, you are clearly an OSU homeboy (or girl...) I hate to tell ya, but it IS a big nothingburger. You won the National Championship, but you all still can’t get over losing to Michigan AGAIN. Move on, free yourself from the bitterness. LOL!
This is hysterical. It’s exactly the kind of pieced-together screed of dire deeds and nefarious intentions, replete with secret FBI investigations and imminent, startling revelations and shocking consequences— just like those seen Alabama boards regarding Auburn’s crimes and conspiracies, and vice versa.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess this was constructed on the prayers and hopes of an Ohio State fan who views hatred of their rivals as the true religion. You gotta love college football, :)
SMU did much less than this and got the “death penalty.” They were banned from recruiting, playing games, going to post season eents for multiple years. Not only did the NCAA rip SMU, they basically upset the old and storied Southwest Conference.
I’ll be shocked if Michigan gets anywhere near equal punishments. Two-tiered justice is not limited to the Federal Courts.
As the NCAA does not sanction or run the College Football Playoffs at the the D1 FBS level,I do not believe the NCAA has the power to take that away.
As to other possible penalties for Michigan, I really would be surprised if they are severe. First of all the power of the NCAA has been riddled by the courts. Second, network tv money will not want to see a blue blood crippled. Bad for ratings.
Finally, the only way order will be returned to college football is declaring the players to be employees, allow them to unionize, then a binding collective bargaining agreement can be negotiated setting rules for eligibility, transfers and NIL. Until then, the only rule us there are no rules.
On the heels of the Michigan football program self-imposing a two game ban on coach Sherrone Moore for alleged ties to the infamous Connor Stalions Spygate sign-stealing scandal, we have some questions! Will the two game suspension be enough to satisfy the blood thirsty NCAA which has been gunning for the Michigan football program since the days of Jim Harbaugh? The biggest potential problem for Moore and the Wolverines was the fact that Moore deleted 52 text messages with Connor Stalions the day the Spygate sign stealing scandal broke. What was in those messages?
We believe the NCAA will be looking for a much longer punishment for Sherrone Moore. Jim Harbaugh got a 4-year show cause penalty for recruiting violations in BurgerGate. Moore, who was Harbaugh’s offensive coordinator at the time, was suspended one game for those same group of violations. New violations would make him a multi-time offender in the eyes of the NCAA.
Plus two other assistants form that staff, Jesse Minter and Steve Clinkscale received one and two year show cause penalties respectively. What makes anybody think Sherrone Moore will get less than a one year penalty from the NCAA? We don’t think they will feel the self-imposed two game ban will be enough. We think Michigan football should brace for the worst ahead of the 2025 college football season.
In other news out of Ann Arbor, Michigan school president Santa J. Ono is leaving the school. There was no bigger Jim Harbaugh supporter than Ono. There have been a lot of issues at Michigan that would cause him to leave, but does he have insider information from the NCAA about their intentions for Michigan football? And is that one of the reasons he is leaving?
"...he cheated"
"I changed the conditions of the tests..."
The Wrath of KHAN!
Death Penalty penalty?
:: fan who views hatred of their rivals as the true religion ::
Let’s not avoid the comparison to our current political system where cheating is winked at and winning the BIG ONE is all-life consuming.
Gambling pays the bills, folks.
Two words Michigan fans! Appalachian State!
