Turns out they DO have those trucks - but they spew out water vapor. When I was a kid we were living in military dependent housing near a research facility. The one that bounced the first radar signal off of the Moon. In the spring and summer, for mosquito control, trucks would travel slowly down the street emitting emitting white clouds of vapor; we kids would run along behind them. Later learned it was DDT.
We (well, some of us) ain't dead...yet.

Hence the reason that, along with Asimov’s 3 Laws of Robotics, no mobile, humanoid robot should have strength greater than a typical 12 year old girl.
