The Thunderbolts team was originally a group of villains (none of which are in the movie lineup) who decided to rebrand themselves from the title “Masters of Evil”.

“Masters of Evil” is more on target with Disney at this point, since they own Marvel (and Star Wars and the Muppets, etc ) now.

Casting freaking Elaine from Seinfeld is the bottom of the litter box.

Hmmm. I've never read comic books.

But with the first set of MCU movieAvengers, I at least recognized many of the characters (who hasn't heard of Captain America, Hulk, or Iron Man?) and some of the actors.

But for this new set, I don't think I've ever heard of a single character, and the only actor (aside from Sebastian Stan, who's reprising his role from the earlier cast of Avengers) whose name I recognize is Florence Pugh, and even then I can't place her, just say I've heard the name.

It just seems like an uninspired, cynical, low-effort money grab to capitalize on the Avengers name, but well I guess that's Disney for you these days. Why make something original that stands on its own merits when you can recycle an existing IP by hollowing it out and wearing it like a skin suit?
