President Donald Trump on Monday said he held a "productive" call with Turkish President Recep Erdogan on a range of topics, including the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Trump shared details of the call in a post on his TRUTH Social platform.
"I just had a very good and productive telephone conversation with the President of Turkey, Recep Erdoğan, concerning many subjects, including the War with Russia/Ukraine, all things Syria, Gaza, and more," Trump wrote.
The president added that he is looking forward to working with Erdogan to end the "ridiculous, but deadly" Russia-Ukraine war.

Erdogan? Foreign policy is not proving to be Trump’s strong suite.
PDJT had better be very very VERY careful of Erdogen. Erdogen is an America-hating Islamicist whose primary objective is to rebuild the Ottoman Empire by invading Turkey’s neighbors. And then expand further from there.
Turkey looked like it was developing into a sane, modern society with at least reasonable liberty. Then Erdogen got into power and reversed most of the future...invading and provoking Greece, Syria, Israel, Kurds, Armenia, etcetera.
He is very dangerous and NOT a friend of USA by ANY means.
Turkey will be our big enemy once Russia is no longer a power.
Be very careful, indeed.
Why does trump love this creep so much?
We’re going to see wholesale criticism of Trump’s embracing Turkey.
For one, Turkey and Israel have a down and dirty relationship.
Relations soured after the 2023 Hamas-led attack on
Israel, with Turkey condemning Israel and backing Hamas.
On 13 November 2024, Erdoğan announced that Turkey was severing all its
diplomatic relations with Israel due to Israel’s reluctance to end the Gaza war.
Nonetheless Trump’s global leadership needs to be
encouraged.....b/c it’s about putting America First.
